October was a seriously busy month, I had a lot going on with travel (a trip to Wellington and then to  Auckland the following weekend), as well as finishing off my final essays and doing my last ever exams! I was snap happy via my Instagram, so here are some photos from the month of October.

Time has really got away from this month and I realised that I hadn't done my End of Month Review for the August Goodie Box! Because I cancelled it after this one I forgot that it has been well over a month since I last received, so here are my thoughts on each product. Overall I thought it was a great box and I've ended up really liking most of the products that were inside, if you want to see more details and images of the contents, check out my Unboxing + Initial Thoughts here. Goodie Box is a NZ monthly subscription service, where you pay $33.50 a month to receive around five-six products, including full sized and samples. The total of this box came to around $70.00.

It's that time of the month again where I talk all things rubbish, well not actual rubbish, but you know the drill! These are the products I finished up in October, and I'm here to give you my thoughts on each one.

eBay has some absolute gems, and in another instalment of Cheap eBay Finds, I've got some very affordable and great makeup brushes to share. Over a year ago I talked about the Jessep eyeshadow brush set (see it here) and this set is the larger face brush counterparts. I love the eye shadows ones and use them daily and they still look good as new, so I knew this face set was going to be just as good.

Seriously, these weeks need to just slow down a touch, I can't believe it is almost the end of the month! This week was pretty cruisey, filled with a lot of procrastination and not a lot of study (whoops), but the blog was a busy one, so here is the week of posts.

I finally took the plunge and did a rather large order (see the haul post here) from the UK based brand Makeup Revolution that has had huge hype around it, especially in the blogging world as the products are crazy cheap (and I mean, super duper cheap). I've split the haul I did into various posts to give a more in-depth review of some of the products I got. Initial impressions, all pretty amazing to be honest and I am very keen to do another order soon! This post I'm talking the blush range, with one powder and one cream blusher.

This morning after watching Lily Melrose's latest New Look haul, I found myself in a deep, dark (but great) hole browsing the New Look website, adding a lot of stuff into my cart and falling in love with many things, particularly the Burger Clutch that Lily showed. I have a thing for clutches, especially the novelty kind with words, or funny messages on them, so these fast food inspired clutch that New Look currently have are absolutely right up my street and I just had to share them!

This post is less of a review and more of a 'you need to buy this if you get the chance' type of thing, because O.M.G. the LORAC Mega Pro Palette is out of this world. I mean, just look at this beautiful thing!

We've made it to number 25 in the WPC! This week was a little hectic and there was not a lot of time for blogging, or anything else bar writing essays and reports for my final week at uni (hooray!). This weekend though I've been taking a uni break before I get into exam study to catch up on blogging, taking lots of photos of some exciting products and writing some posts ready for the upcoming week. Despite the business, I was still posting daily, so here are the past week of posts.

Yes, I do realise that in NZ we are currently going into Summer, but I could not resist using this super vampy dark polish that I recently bought from NZ Sale. I've been eyeing up this Essie shade for a while now and I'm so glad I've now got it in my nail stash.

When it comes to lipsticks, I think there are some pretty amazing, incredibly cheap brands out there that do lipsticks very well. Jordana is just one of those brands, and I realised I had quite a stash of shades so I've lumped them together to give you the run down on my collection. Each of these lipsticks can be brought for around NZD $3 at stores like 2Cheap, or online from Beauty Joint for only USD $1.59 each! The colour range is HUGE, and it's a great way to play around and experiment with a variety of shades to find ones that suit you, without paying a huge price tag.

I recently did a rather large haul on MUA, which mostly consisted of the amazing Velvet Lip Lacquers but I couldn't resist throwing in a few extra items. I have black eyeliners for days, and only a few browns and nude tones, so I decided to grab some of the £1.00 Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencils to try out.

I don't think I could ever turn down a $4, and these own brand Kmart lipsticks are super cheap, but surprisingly not that bad! I've blogged about another shade in Naked, and also featured a couple of the nail polishes, check them out here.

As much as I love pastel coloured nails and chunky glitter polishes, there is something amazing about a good metallic, sheeny nail. These three picks from my stash are my favourite rose-gold hued polishes for when I want to get a bit fancy on my fingers. I think they make great colours for Spring and offer something just a bit different from silver or gold.

I love a good face masks, especially the clay kind so when this Linden Leaves Clay Cleansing Masque* arrived in the mail, I knew I was going to love it. Linden Leaves is an amazing natural skincare brand based in NZ and I have talked about a few of their products before, with each one always impressing me with the quality and the results.

Oh would you look at that? The WPC has had a little bit of a face lift! I've been wanting to change it up for a little while now and am really happy with how this all looks, so I hope you all like it too! (But too bad if you don't... it's staying anyway!) Things were as usual on CM this week, and it had a good dose of makeup, nails and skincare, and it also featured one of my most favourite products [hint: starts with L ends in C].

I'm always partial to blue nail polish, whether it's navy, bright blue or baby blue. I recently got this Rimmel 60 Second polish from Postie for $4, and it really impressed. The colour, the formula, the brush; everything ticked all of the right boxes.

I've learnt over the past few years that natural skincare is really the best way to go, and caring for your skin and using the right products is extremely important. Living Nature have made this a lot easier by creating the Skin Steps Kits* targeted at your skin type, whether it is Normal, Oily/Combination or Dry/Mature. Each kit contains three 50ml products, and two samples, which allows you to really get a feel for the products to see if they work for your skin.

The past few travel makeup bag posts were hefty ones (the last one was particularly huge), where I had definitely over-packed in the makeup department (although I like having options, it's just like clothing right?), but this time around I was only off on a quick weekend trip so I managed to pack relatively lightly and just took the essentials (well, kinda). There are a couple of extra 'but what if I want to use this' type products that probably didn't need to be packed, but I had the room, so why not, right?!

Another week over, another WPC! This past week welcomed in the month of October (utter craziness), so that brought with it the usual end of month activity; Instagram, Most Loved and Empties, as well as some product reviews and a NOTD. I've just got back from Wellington, as I went to WOW (World of WearableArt), which was quite literally WOW! If you haven't been yet, put it on your list of things to do - it was incredible!

There is just something about white nails that I've been loving lately, and it takes a lot of will for me to not keep reaching for the white bottle. This white polish from Essie has already been featured in my Most Loved August, and now it gets a whole post dedicated to it (yes, it is that special).

In yesterdays post I talked all about two other ZA Cosmetics eyeshadows palettes in the Gradation style here. Today I have another two that are part of the Impact-Full Eyes Groovy* range of palettes.

ZA Cosmetics is a brand I have seen around, but never really had a closer look at, but I was recently sent some of their eye shadow palettes to try out and I was pleasantly surprised by them. These particular two are from the Impact-Full Eyes Gradation* line and have four shadows in each palette that should help you create a beautiful, graduated eye shadow look.

I'm always surprised at the end of the month to see how many products I finished up. September had a truck load of empty things, mostly in the skincare region, but there was also some body and haircare products in the mix too. I am really making a conscious effort to use up products before I buy new ones, otherwise my bathroom cupboard ends up getting heavily stuffed!
