When it comes to lipsticks, I think there are some pretty amazing, incredibly cheap brands out there that do lipsticks very well. Jordana is just one of those brands, and I realised I had quite a stash of shades so I've lumped them together to give you the run down on my collection. Each of these lipsticks can be brought for around NZD $3 at stores like 2Cheap, or online from Beauty Joint for only USD $1.59 each! The colour range is HUGE, and it's a great way to play around and experiment with a variety of shades to find ones that suit you, without paying a huge price tag.
THE CREAMS
The lipstick range is split into the normal, creamy line in the silver tubes, and the matte line in gold tubes. The silver tubed range has the biggest selection, so much so that Beauty Joint has two pages here and here. I think I prefer this range as they glide onto the lips a bit easier, plus they smell delicious - very fruity and sweet. The pigmentation goes on opaque in a couple of swipes and feels very creamy to apply. I don't find they last as long as more expensive lipsticks but I don't have a problem with retouching if needed.
128 NUDE | This is more of an orangey/peachy sort of nude.
187 VIVID ROSE | This is easily one of my favourites and it's a gorgeous darker pink that has amazing colour pay off.
042 PINK ICE | I find this one goes on quite sheer initially but the colour does build up. It has a frost finish, with heavy blue undertones.
181 STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE | This is a true baby pink, and probably my second favourite to wear.
041 PETAL PINK | This is a hint lighter than Strawberry Shortcake and is a light baby pink.
THE MATTES
The matte range lives in the gold tubes and doesn't have quite the shade range compared to the creams, which you can see on Beauty Joint here. The matte range also doesn't have as nice as smell like the creams, and is more in that old lady, vanilla like scent. They take a bit more work to get the colour onto the lips, but after a couple of swipes you are left with opaque colour that is matte instantly but doesn't feel drying.
35 RIO | The website describes this as an 'iridescent dusty rose', but I find it to be more of a terracotta/brown tone but it definitely has a pearl-like finish.
49 LAVENDER LADY | This shade is absolutely stunning and I think it's a must buy from the shade range. It is a deep pink, with purple tones.
55 PINK SHOWSTOPPER | This is an extremely bright, light pink and is pretty amazing on the lips.
My collection is relatively small considering the amount of colours there are to chose from and everything is in the pinky family of shades, but I do want to branch out and get some different shades - suggestions are welcome! For the price, you can't go wrong AT ALL, but do your shade and swatch research before buying the colours as the Beauty Joint doesn't give a very true representation of the colours.
