Yes, I do realise that in NZ we are currently going into Summer, but I could not resist using this super vampy dark polish that I recently bought from NZ Sale. I've been eyeing up this Essie shade for a while now and I'm so glad I've now got it in my nail stash.
This is the shade Wicked, as described on the Essie site as a 'deep and dark creamy sinister red'. I gotta say that descriptions fits the polish shade perfectly, the red is super deep and only in really bright lights does it come off as a red shade. In dimmer lighting it has an almost brown/black look to it, which I absolutely love. It applied easily as always with Essie polishes, and this shows two coats, but you could get away with just the one. I do love a good bright shade in the Summer, but you can't go wrong with something a bit darker every now and then, screw the conventions!
