LORAC | Mega Pro Palette [aka. The Palette To End All Palettes]

This post is less of a review and more of a 'you need to buy this if you get the chance' type of thing, because O.M.G. the LORAC Mega Pro Palette is out of this world. I mean, just look at this beautiful thing!

I knew as soon as I saw what the LORAC holiday offering were going to be that I would need this palette, and it's one I didn't want to miss out on for fears of having the 'I wish I had bought that' regret. Honestly, I really don't need another eye shadow palette, but this one is far too special and far too amazing to have passed up!

There is a bit of a story to go with my search for this palette... I was prepared and ready to buy it direct from the LORAC site and use Youshop to forward it to NZ when it got released on October 7th, but it wouldn't accept my card, so I thought all hope was lost and that I wasn't going to be able to buy it. But luckily, on the LORAC FB page, they linked to Amazon where it turns out they have an online store and they ship worldwide (will definitely be ordering more LORAC this way again, because the shipping was so cheap, around $10!).

The MEGA Pro is double the size of the PRO palette, which I recently posted a review of the PRO 2 here. It comes in festive red and gold packaging which looks amazing. There are a total of 32 shadows, 16 matte and 16 shimmer, with the majority of them being entirely new and exclusive to this palette. I haven't done any swatches of this, purely due to the size, but if you did want to see swatches I'm happy to do them, just leave me a comment!

MATTES | Just like the PRO 2, these matte shadows are incredibly pigmented, buttery soft and smooth and blend like a dream. They are easily the best matte shadows I've used! This Mega has a good mix of creams, brown tones, as well as a few unique shades in the pinks and berry tones.

SHIMMERS | To say the shimmers are beautiful is a complete understatement. Just check out the swatches from the PRO 2 to see what I mean. These are exactly the same; they're high quality shadows, easy to work with and look stunning on the lids.

This has got to be one of the coolest makeup products I own and it has the most incredible mix of shades, I really do not need anymore palettes for a very long time! Currently this is sold out on the LORAC site and on Amazon, but apparently there is going to be another lot released onto Amazon at some stage, this is the link where I bought  mine from here. The Mega Pro costs USD $59.00 (a total bargain in my eyes, seeing as the original PRO's are USD $42.00) and I chose the cheapest shipping to NZ which was USD $7.91, and it arrived in about 8 days.
