Let me introduce you to the brand new lipstick range from Maybelline - The Loaded Bolds*. These have been out in the USA for a little while now, but they have just made the shores of NZ and will be out in stores now. This range packs a huge punch with some super vibrant shades and also a white and a black lipstick...

When it comes to lip balms, one brand always comes to my mind - Burt's Bees. It's such a cult brand that has been around ever since I can remember and they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to lip balms, and now even expanding into skincare and makeup. They have recently launched the Tinted Lip Balm* line with six shades designed to hydrate your pout and add a tint of colour.

The matte liquid lipstick trend is not showing any signs of slowing up; more and more brands are releasing their take on the lip product, with M.A.C now extending their range of Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolors*. There are now 12 new shades in a range of muted neutrals and deeper tones that have got me so excited for Autumn/Winter!

Lip liners are a makeup must have for me - I wear them on their own all the time as I love the matte finish and they often last longer than any lipstick or even matte liquid lipstick does due to the light formula but high pigmentation of most lip liners these days. One of my favourite affordable brands, Maybelline, has just launched a new line of liners; the Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liners*. As a big lip liner lover (and I have tried quite a few), these ones are definitely up there with some of the better ones...

If you have not heard about Kylie Jenner's makeup line; Kylie Cosmetics, what rock have you been living under and also is there space for me?! I jest, I jest. But seriously, the hype surrounding Kylie's makeup line is global and these products sell out in minutes from being released (I do wonder though if they do that on purpose, if so, it's an amazing marketing ploy!) I resisted for a long time in trying the products, don't get my wrong it's not that I didn't want to but the shipping prices were steep and when converted to NZD for one Lip Kit, it was going to cost over $60.00. I managed to get these two Lip Kits for $60 from an NZ makeup buy/sell group pretty much brand new from a fellow blogger (thanks, Laura!) So is the hype worth it?!

Oh, I do love a matte lip product - they are definitely my favourite sort of formula to use and wear as really who wants to faff over reapplying their lipstick throughout the day. Clinique has jumped on the matte lip trend and have brought out the Pop Lip Color + Primer* in a matte formula. and added the new Pop Liquid Mattes*.

It's been far too long since I did a good ol' classic beauty haul, the main reason being that I just haven't been buying that much makeup lately (shocking I know, but my bank account is rejoicing). So here are a few new things on my radar that I either bought over the past month or so, or are products I was kindly sent by PR that I want to share with you lot. Let's crack into some makeup goodness... 

About a month or so ago I was invited to celebrate the NZ launch of makeup brand Bourjois. I'm sure most of you would have heard of the brand before, particularly from those in the UK who are always raving about their products. I used to buy it off ASOS, as it was the only way to get it to NZ, but now Farmers stores across the country have Bourjois stands, with all of the iconic products available. I was extremely fortunate to get a large goodie bag of things to try out, so here are my thoughts on a few things from their lineup of current products and some new releases for Summer.

It's not often that a bargain like this one comes along. As it always happens, an NZ Sale email popped up in my inbox and instantly my eyes lit up - they had theBalm on sale... for only $9! I honestly could not believe it when I saw that, so naturally, I was straight on there adding things to my cart, which included this palette, the Balm Voyage! Palette, and The Balmsai Eyeshadow + Brow Palette (which I'll be reviewing on here very soon). The sale was like a makeup lovers dream!
