Oh, I do love a matte lip product - they are definitely my favourite sort of formula to use and wear as really who wants to faff over reapplying their lipstick throughout the day. Clinique has jumped on the matte lip trend and have brought out the Pop Lip Color + Primer* in a matte formula. and added the new Pop Liquid Mattes*.

We have seen so many brands bringing out their take on the liquid matte lip trend that is so huge right now. Clinique has done it really well and I love how it fits in with the packaging and look of the other Pop Lip Colour range. There are 8 shades available, and the two above are Boom Pop and Flame Pop (swatches below). They have great pigmentation, and I find the shorter, stubby wand makes it easier to get a precise application. These dry down, but not completely like some do, making them comfortable to wear whilst also having the longevity.

I have a couple of lipsticks from the original Pop range and love the formula and consistency of them. The packaging is spot on as well, with the silver lid and the colour is clearly indicated on the bottom half. Like the original range, these have a super smooth, velvet texture, that goes on really pigmented and feels so nice on the lips. There is a large selection of shades available and the ones above are Beach Pop and Peony Pop.
As you can see the Pop Liquid Mattes have a lovely colour pay off, as do the lipstick offerings. All the shades are just gorgeous and I am so obsessed with Peony Pop, such a nice soft pink for everyday wear. The range is available at Clinique counters everywhere.
