As it's a Friday I thought I'd ease you all into the weekend with a simple NOTD post. Although I currently don't have this combo on my nails right now, I did have this Essie combination on a couple of weeks ago and love how they worked together. 

It's time for another NOTD! I know that my last one was also a blue tone in the form of Essie Strut Your Stuff, but I absolutely love wearing blue on the nails especially for summer. I recently rejigged my nail polish (I finally got an IKEA Helmer to store them all in!), and discovered some shades I had totally forgotten about, these being two of them.

It's time to bring back a series I've long been neglecting - the classic NOTD (aka. Nail Of The Day). I used to do these so often on CM (have a read of them here), and I want to revive it and post more of what I'm wearing on my nails. I am constantly changing my nail polish, basically every week I'll have something different on. Hopefully doing this style post again, I'll reach for shades I've not used yet or haven't used in a while. So here's the first NOTD of 2016.

You would all know by now that I am a nail polish fiend, my collection is out of control! However, the majority of polishes I have are from the bigger brands such as O.P.I. and Essie, and I've never dabbled in the 'indie' nail polish world. There are a lot of people out there creating some amazing polishes with unique colours, glitters and finishes, and NZ based brand, Nail Juice is one of them.

I think you should all know by now that I absolutely love Essie nail polishes and my collection is always growing. This has been helped along by the fact that Postie are now stocking a limited selection of shades for only $8 each! It's safe to say I went a little crazy and bought six shades that I definitely needed to add to my stash.

Bright green nails aren't something I would usually go for, but I recently got this Essie shade, with the brilliant name Shake Your $$ Maker, so I had to try it out. Sadly it didn't really impress...

I have a mighty large nail polish collection, honestly, it is a little ridiculous and would rival any salon, but one brand I didn't have any nail polishes from until now is L'Oreal. They just went under my radar and I never really thought of them as being a go-to when it comes to nail colours. I was sent a shade to try from their Colour Riche Le Vernis line, so I've included it in a good ol' classic Nail Of The Day.

Neutral shades with an added bit of glitter to them are always some of my favourite manicures and these two polishes, from two different brands (Essie and OPI) were almost made for each other! 

Essie, Essie, Essie, could you make two more beautiful nail polish shades? I've had one of these on my wishlist for a very long time and I finally found it while I was in the US and I got it on my nails as soon I possibly could!

Seeing as we are only a couple of days away from Christmas, I thought I would share a very appropriate festive manicure, perfect for the holiday season!
