BRONX COLORS | Burlesque + Angel Dust Eyeshadow Palettes - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyeea

If you are a blogger, I am sure you are well aware of posts getting lost in your drafts. Well, that is exactly what happened with this one! I had the photos already for YONKS now but just haven't gotten around to putting words to screen about these two affordable palettes from Bronx Colors. Never heard of Bronx Colors before? Let this post be your introduction but in brief, the products are made in Europe, Germany to be exact, with head offices in Switzerland but they draw their inspiration from New York City.

From what I have used from the brand, there are some really good products and they have a great range of everything you may need to get your makeup done. The brand is also cruelty-free, and very affordable.

Burlesque Eyeshadow Palette #1* | NZD $14.99
The first palette comes packaged in a cardboard shell, which isn't my favourite but it does seem durable enough. It has a very pretty black lace detail around the outside, which some people may find a bit kitsch but I like that it is unique. Inside you will find 6 beautiful eyeshadow shades in very neutral tones. I have just realised the photo of the palette doesn't do the shades justice (the one above does though - damn lighting changes!) The swatches show the shades a lot more true to life, however, and as you can see are nicely pigmented with 1 matte shade and 5 shimmers. These do kick off a bit of fall out, but the formula is very soft and buttery, and they aren't chalky at all. I really like this palette and it's the sort of shades I usually want to reach for on a daily basis.

Angel Dust Eyeshadow Set* | NZD $14.00
The second palette comes in a much sturdier tin packaging, but the foam insert which holds the shadows isn't the best quality and I have recently depotted these and put them in a Z Palette. Inside this one are 1 matte (the very light pale shade, which is basically the same as my skin tone) and 5 shimmers. This is a lot cooler and darker in tones, although I do prefer the Burlesque Palette, I am sure there will be a lot of people who will like this shade selection too. The purple shade didn't swatch as nicely as the others, but on the lids, it comes off well. Much like the one above, there is a bit of fallout, so be wary of that.

At under $15 for 6 eyeshadows from a cruelty-free brand, this is pretty good going and I think the quality of the actual shadows is impressive for the price. Bronx Colors is available online direct from their website, and they also have stockists all over the world.
