EMPTIES | April '15 [even more than last month!]

EMPTIES | April '15 - Too Faced, The Body Shop, Garnier, Sugarbaby, Biore, Anatomicals, Makeup Revolution + More - CassandraMyee

Last month I thought I had hit the limit on the amount of empty products I had, but this month I have even more empty things! I don't know what's going on but I seem to be churning through products at a high rate, which is a good thing because I have overflowing bathroom cabinets currently! There's a lot of body and skincare products, as well as couple of makeup items and some hair products too.

MOST LOVED | April '15

MOST LOVED | April '15 - CassandraMyee

When I was thinking back on the past month, there weren't a heck of a lot of products that really stood out to me as favourites. I've mostly been sticking to my same old, and only injecting new products in here and there. But as I looked over my expanding makeup stash there were definitely some stand out products from April, so here are my Most Loved.

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #052

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #052 - Posts + Instagrams - CassandraMyee

How on earth is it Sunday already?! Anyway, this week was pretty chilled; I did a bit of study, and of course, lots of blogging as well. Here is your weekly round up of posts and Instagrams on CM.

NOTD | Essie Shake Your $$ Maker

NOTD | Essie Shake Your $$ Maker - CassandraMyee

Bright green nails aren't something I would usually go for, but I recently got this Essie shade, with the brilliant name Shake Your $$ Maker, so I had to try it out. Sadly it didn't really impress...

RIMMEL LONDON | 3 for 2 Haul + Reviews

RIMMEL LONDON | 3 for 2 Haul - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

If you're a blogger you might understand, sometimes posts just get lost in your 'drafts', only to be discovered many weeks later... well this is one of those posts! This Rimmel haul was from over a month ago, as are the photos, but I'm glad I discovered this tucked away at the bottom of my drafts list. I did this wee haul when Farmers were having a sale on Rimmel with buy two get one free, and to be honest, I didn't need anything but it seemed like a great opportunity to try some products I've had my eye on for a while.

MAYBELLINE | Master Hi-Light Highlighting Bronzer + Master Glaze Blush Stick - Review + Swatches

MAYBELLINE | Master Hi-Light Highlighting Bronzer + Master Glaze Blush Stick - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Unfortunately living in NZ means that a lot of the time we get beauty releases months and months after their initial release in the US or the UK. Because I am an avid blog reader, YouTube watcher and beauty addict, I see a lot of these products via. the US and UK gals, and wait patiently for their NZ release (or do a bit of sneaky online shopping). Thankfully, Maybelline have had an influx of new product releases, and I was recently sent a couple of the new products that are out in NZ now to try out; the Master Glaze Blush Stick* and the Master Hi-Light Highlighting Bronzer*.

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #051

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #051 - Posts + Instagrams - CassandraMyee
Another week has flown by in an instant (they're getting shorter and shorter right?), and there was lots of beauty business on the blog this week, so here's what you might have missed.

CHEAP EBAY FINDS | Flat Contour Brush

CHEAP EBAY FINDS | Flat Contour Brush - CassandraMyee

The contouring hype is definitely at an all-time high in the makeup world at the moment. Brands are jumping on it any chance they get bringing out all sorts of contouring palettes and kits for everyone to have their hand at contouring. Now I'm definitely not into (nor have I really tried) the full-on contour, with the cream and the highlighting etc, instead I just opt for a natural taupe shade to try and fake some non-existent cheekbones, and a bit of highlighter to top it off. I have a couple of brushes I like to use for contouring, but I wanted to try out a more flat option, so off to eBay I went.

COLOURPOP | Haul + First Impressions

COLOURPOP | Haul + First Impressions - Super Shock Cheeks, Shadows + Lippie Pencil - CassandraMyee

Finally! Yes, finally, I have tried some of the magic that is ColourPop and I am completely obsessed slash can't get enough slash want to buy all of the things. Recently I just could not resist another visit to the site, after months of trying to hold myself back from dropping a lot of dollars on some ColourPop goodness, I made a rather large order so I could see what all the hype was about. So here is my haul and first impressions of a couple of the products I picked up (I also got a few of the sets, but more on those in due course).

LIVING NATURE | Skin Revive Exfoliant Review

LIVING NATURE | Skin Revive Exfoliant Review - CassandraMyee

Exfoliators, although not essential to your skincare routine, can really play a big role in improving your skin texture, clarity and give it a great deep clean. I've used a multitude of various exfoliants over my time, some that were terrible, harsh, packed with chemicals, and felt like sand paper; others, such as this Living Nature Skin Revive Exfoliant*, were gentle, natural and left the skin feeling polished without over doing it.

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #050

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #050 - Posts + Instagrams - CassandraMyee
I can't quite believe that the Weekly Collective (previously known as The Weekly Post Collective), has now turned a whopping 50! That's a lot of Sunday posts going on! This week was a mix of sharing my empties, talking about how great lip liners are, and sharing an amazing kit from Sephora. Have a catch up of the week just been, including the happenings on my Instagram account, after the jump.

CHEAP LIP LINER LOVES | NYX, e.l.f. + Jordana

CHEAP LIP LINER LOVES | NYX, e.l.f. + Jordana - CassandraMyee

So it seems that lip liner has made a major comeback over the past six months or so (can we all thank a Jenner sister for that?) and I have most definitely become a convert to the wonders of lip liner. You can pretty much guarantee I'll be wearing a lip liner nearly every time I put makeup on and lately I've mostly been loving them by themselves sans lipstick. Here are some of the cheaper lip liner options that are absolutely awesome.

SEPHORA FAVORITES | Glitz + Glam Party Essentials - Make Up Forever, Smashbox, Stila, Lancome + More

SEPHORA FAVORITES // Glitz + Glam Collection | Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

The Sephora Favorite kits are some of the best ones on the market; they are all jam packed with high-end branded products, with lots in adorable miniature form. I got this Glitz + Glam kit while I was in the US a couple of months back, and I've finally made my way through it trying each of the products. Here's the breakdown of each product and a mini review of each.

EMPTIES | March '15 [or when everything finished]

EMPTIES | March '15 [or when everything finished] - CassandraMyee
March seriously became the month that every product I own came to an end. Ok, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I did finish up a lot of products this month, so here are my thoughts on them and if I'll be purchasing them again.

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #049

WEEKLY COLLECTIVE #049 - CassandraMyee
Happy Easter Sunday everyone! I hope you had a really lovely weekend with lots of chocolate involved! I definitely did, and had an even better week with my 25th birthday on Thursday. So for some light Easter weekend reading, here are the posts and Instagrams you might have missed.

TOP FIVE | Bronzers - One For Every Budget

TOP FIVE | Bronzers - One For Every Budget - CassandraMyee

Bronzers for me are makeup staples, not a day goes by when I don't dust a bit of bronzey goodness onto my face and bring a bit of colour back to my skin after foundation. I think there are some brilliant ones out there on the market, so here are my top five picks, and hopefully one that will suit everyone's budget.

On Turning 25

On Turning 25 - CassandraMyee

Isn't it funny just how scary a single number can seem? I remember turning 18 and thinking, wow I am getting really old. At that point I was in my final year at school and was about to venture to university the following year. Then it seemed like a huge change; new experiences, leaving the security of school, my family and my close group of friends, trading it in for the halls, meeting lots of new people and learning what real study (and real drinking...) would be like. Now it's seven years later and here I am turning 25. Twenty-five. I mean, that sounds quite old right?
