Middle of 2016 and end of June - how crazy is that?! I hope everyone is making it through winter ok and avoiding the dreaded flu, luckily I haven't been hit with it yet (and here's hoping it stays that way). During June, I had a lot of new products to try out so my Most Loved has a good mix of drugstore products and higher-end items from some well-known brands.
L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist Makeup Finishing Spray* | NZD $29.99
I meant to put this in last month's Most Loved because this product has been a total favourite since the first time I tried it out. It is one of the many new launches from L'Oreal (I'll have a post coming about all the others!) and one of my favourites from the bunch. It's a setting spray like no other; you shake it up as it has a sort of powder at the bottom of it, spritz it on the face and you can feel it setting everything down. It's one that you can feel on the skin as it leaves a mist of translucent powder over the face but it really helps to keep things on the skin for longer.
Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in Coral Glow | NZD $20.99
I have done a full review of this here but had to give it another shout out as it's a great little contour kit. If you are a contouring beginner or want something that's a compact size, this palette is the one. The contour shade is matte and not too intense, the blush is lovely and brightening on the skin, and the highlighter is subtle with the right amount of glow to it.
Lipidol Cleansing Face Oil* | NZD $9.95
I've had this tucked away in my drawers for a wee while now, but decided to crack it out before I opened another bottle of my beloved The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil. Now, while that one is definitely still a firm favourite, this one from the very affordable brand Lipidol comes at a close second. These products are non-fuss with simple packaging and all are around the $10 mark. I find this takes off my makeup really well and lathers up well on the skin, the one qualm I have with it, is that I find it can sting my eyes a little so I use a separate remover for my eye makeup. Other than that, this is a great product if you want something affordable and slightly better for your skin compared to face wipes.
Becca Cosmetics Beach Tint in Fig* | NZD $46.00
Of the small amount of Becca products I have used, I am a huge fan. Everything is of high quality and just beautiful to use. The Beach Tint range can be used on the cheeks and lips and it provides a natural stain of colour. Fig is a beautiful dark rose that blends out well on the cheeks leaving a subtle colour that stays around all day as it's a tint. You can find these in NZ from Beauty Bliss and it comes in about six other shades.
Collection Contour Kit Highlight + Sculpt* | NZD $21.99
I had to include another contour kit because this one from Collection is pretty awesome and very affordable. I find if I want something a bit stronger than the Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette, I reach for this. The highlighter has a beautiful shimmer to it, and the bronzer is completely matte. The pigmentation for these powders are really good, and they blend out well on the skin. The packaging is nothing special but the product is A+.
