EMPTIES | June '16 - Hask, Bastiste, Estee Lauder, Daiso, e.l.f., Maybelline, Covergirl - CassandraMyee

As we are near the end of the June, it's time for the monthly installment of my Empties a.k.a, products I finished up in the month. The majority of these products I have been using for several months and weren't just finished over the past 30 or so days (if there is any confusion!) I've got a mix of haircare, skincare and makeup in the June edition.

EMPTIES | June '16 - Hask, Bastiste, Estee Lauder, Daiso, e.l.f., Maybelline, Covergirl - CassandraMyee

Hask Keratin Protein Smoothing Shampoo + Smoothing Conditioner*
I've only used Hask products since this year, and have been so impressed by the products I have used; their Express Blow Dry Spray* is one of my favourite haircare products ever! This shampoo and conditioner duo was absolutely lovely to use and my hair definitely benefited, it felt soft and the ends of my hair weren't as dry and straggly as they can get. I would definitely purchase these and happily use them again and again.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Mamba Scent
There's always a can of this in my bathroom - you just can't beat it. I don't use this all the time, just when I need a hair refresh, or if I'm having a day off the hair washing. It soaks up oil very well, although it can leave a slightly white cast if you don't brush it through and rub it in thoroughly. I'm already planning on buying another can.

Daiso Detergent for Puff + Sponge
If you haven't tried this stuff - you need to! Gone are dirty sponges where the foundation just won't budge no matter how hard you try to clean it. A couple squirts of this miracle detergent, run it under water and then the makeup literally just runs straight out, so your sponge is fresh and looks as good as new. It's also great for giving your brushes a deep clean. Plus it's only $3.50 from Daiso Japan - I mean, come on! I have already repurchased 3 of these as back up!

Maybelline Eye + Lip Makeup Remover [x2]
There's always gotta be a bottle of this in here. It's the best for removing eye makeup and lipstick with ease and it doesn't sting or dry out the skin. It's also really cheap and just amazing.

The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner
I have been through a a fair few of these bottles in my time and my skin really enjoys it. I have oily/combination skin and I find this keeps it in balance, it's not over drying but it also rids the skin of excess makeup and impurities. I haven't repurchased it yet as I have another toner to use. but no doubt, I will go back to it.

Garnier Miracle Wakeup Cream*
This has been a recent addition to my skincare routine for the past few months and since I got it, I've used it basically every day. It's a day cream/primer hybrid, that gives moisture to the skin but also smooths it out, blurring pores and fine lines. It sits really well under makeup and doesn't make me too oily throughout the day. It's an awesome affordable skincare product that I would totally recommend trying out.

Estée Lauder Night Wear Plus Anti-Oxidant Night Detox Creme*
On the opposite side of things, I also finished up a night cream from Estée Lauder that I have absolutely loved using, and so did my skin. At $110.00 this is definitely a bit on the pricey side for my budget, but it really felt amazing on my skin and I think I really benefited from it as well. There's a lot of technology and science that has gone into it (read more here), but all I know is that when I woke up my skin just looked and felt better the more I used it! If you have mature skin, I would really recommend it.

e.l.f. Studio High Definition Undereye Setting Powder
The final couple of products are makeup items, with this setting powder being one of my everyday makeup staples. I have been through a whole load of these little pots and I find it is the best undereye setting powder - it's translucent, but it smooths out the area, sets down concealer and stops it from creasing or moving around throughout the course of the day. I recently ordered another one of these from iHerb for under $4, but you can also buy it from Kmart in NZ for about $10.00, and it's well worth the money.

Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Fresh Complexion Oil Free Foundation in 110
I have been reaching for this foundation from Covergirl basically everyday for the past 2 months or so. The first time I used it, I really disliked it, but many months later I decided to give it a whirl and was left loving it! The coverage is medium to full, but it doesn't look cakey, it blends well and I find it lasts really well on my oily skin. I do have to powder it initially and powder throughout the day but compared to other foundations I have used this one definitely performs the best.
