Collection is a brand I've been familiar with for a number of years now, back when it was called Collection 2000! In the past couple of years, they have relaunched the brand making it available for us at Countdown supermarkets, and adding lots of new products to their range. A recent addition is the Eyes Uncovered Eyeshadow Palette* range, that has been raved about by UK bloggers.
The packaging of the palette is nothing fancy at all, with simple cardboard and plastic window so you can see some of the shades. Despite the not so great packaging, the actual size of the palette is travel friendly and is an easy one to put in your makeup bag.
Included in the palette are six shades, all very metallic and all very gorgeous. I only wish they had included one matte shade in a light brown that can be used for blending, but apart from that, I'm a big fan of the shades included. The quality of the shadows and the pigmentation is what really surprised me; they are buttery and smooth and apply really well. With or without a primer I find they last all day and keep their vibrancy. My favourite combination to use is Mink focused in the centre of the lid with a bit of Golden Brown on the outer corner and blended into the crease.
For only $22.99, I think this palette is a real steal and I've been using it a lot since I received it. Keep an eye out on Collection stands for this one - Countdown often has specials and savings on their beauty range too.
What do you think of the Eyes Uncovered Palette? Have you used much makeup from Collection?
