THE BODY SHOP | Limited Edition Time To Shine Christmas Collection '15

THE BODY SHOP | Limited Edition Christmas Collection '15 - Swinging Silver + Grooving Gold - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

After the release of The Body Shop Christmas body collections (see the delicious smelling Frosted Plum range here), I didn't think things could get much better, but they have! Along with their usual body products, they've also released a limited edition makeup range packed with lots of metallic golds and silvers, so appropriate for the festive season.

COLOUR CRUSH NAIL COLOURS | RRP $12.95 each
The range has six nail polishes shades in it, all very metallic and glitter packed. I was sent two; 960 Gold Sequins* and 950 Silver Sequins*, and they make a great glittery top coat, or accent nail to your manicure. They are a little gloopy, and initially there wasn't a lot of glitter with the ratio of clear polish to glitter being lower than I would prefer. However, two coats does the trick and looks very festive/party appropriate.

EYESHADOW PALETTE SWINGING SILVER* | RRP $50.00
I've used a few items from The Body Shop makeup line before but never the eyeshadows, so I was very excited to see these special edition releases. Firstly I love the packaging, shiny silver and metallic gold with black geometric accents is always going to get a big thumbs up in my books. The packaging is made of cardboard, but they feel sturdy and secure, with a decent sized mirror and a doubled ended brush that has a sponge applicator on one end and a brush on the other.

Overall I was really surprised at just how nice the pigmentation of the shadows are. They aren't chunky or glittery, instead give a gorgeous metallic sheen to the eyes. This palette is more on the cooler side, although the coral/peach is an interesting inclusion and it looks really lovely in the inner corner.

EYESHADOW PALETTE GROOVING GOLD* | RRP $50.00
If you're a neutral, bronzey toned eyeshadow lover like me, you are really going to get on well with this quad. This ones leans on the warmer side of things (no surprises there) and the shades in this one I absolutely adore. They all work so beautifully together and they blend out well on the lids with a lot of pigmentation to them. This might be a palette you want to add to your Christmas wishlist!

There are a few other products in the range too, including two lipstick shades (RRP $27.75 each), The Sparkler Shimmer in both gold and silver (RRP $50.00 each), a Glitter Eyeliner (RRP $24.95) and a Lip + Cheek Stain in Scarlet Starlet (RRP $49.95). I checked out the entire range last week in store and can confirm that it all looks beautiful and is definitely one to check out if you're a magpipe for shine like me.

What products do you like from this collection? Would you go gold, or silver?
