M.A.C | Magic Of The Night Holiday 2015 Collection - Review + Swatches

M.A.C | Magic Of The Night Holiday 2015 Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

You know when M.A.C release their holiday collections that they are going to be good and this year is no exception! Last year's Heirloom Mix Collection was a total knock out (see it here), and the 2015 offering is equally as good, and the metallic jewel toned packaging is eye catching and totally festive appropriate.

M.A.C | Magic Of The Night Holiday 2015 Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

This collection is a HUGE one, so much so that it is being released in two lots. The first release 'Magic Of The Night' and 'Enchanted Eve' came out on in NZ on November 2nd, and the second release 'Irresistibly Charming', comes out tomorrow (17th November), and that includes the pigment sets (see below), as well as Patent Polish Lip Minis and Lip Gloss sets (images of kits here).

Colourdrenched Pigment* | NZD $52.00 each
As part of the Magic of The Night release, there are five shades available of these Colourdrenched Pigments. I was sent one shade to try in Tonight's The Night!, a frost finish, described as a deep blackened teal. This colour is actually really stunning and the formulation of these pigments are really nice, extremely pigmented (no surprises there), metallic and easy to work with. This makes a great alternative to a black, or brown smoky eye and is something a little different.

Lipstick in Dark Side* | NZD $44.00 each
Let's be honest here, the metallic purple packaging is enough to make me want to buy all four shades from this range! Three of the four shades are available in the permanent range, Please Me, All Fired Up and Dark Side (pictured), with Evening Rendezvous being limited edition. Dark Side is an amplified formula, so it's very creamy and very pigmented, but also long wearing without the dryness factor that you get from a matte formula. I absolutely love the shade, described as a deep burgundy - definitely one to whip out during Autumn/Winter.

Also in this release are two In Extra Dimension Skinfinish's (RRP $72.00), two Pearlglide Intense Eye Liners (RRP $40.00) and two Lip Pencils (RRP $40.00).

Irresistibly Charming Pigments And Glitter Kit in Purple* | NZD $95.00
Included in this release (out tomorrow) are three pigment sets in Purple, Gold and Blue. I bought last years one from the Heirloom Mix collection and absolutely love it, and I'm so glad I can add this one to the collection too. It comes housed in a little plastic clutch, with the three pigments and one glitter inside. They are the mini sized, which I actually think is a lot more practical then the full sized pigments. They are all highly pigmented shades, a little messy to work with, but they look amazing on the eyes. Make sure to use a good eyeshadow base, and some kind of setting spray on your brush to help pick up the loose pigments and also give them more vibrancy.

As well as all of these products, there are some amazing Eye & Lip Compacts (RRP $96.00 and $72.00) and Face Compacts that have all the essentials in one handy palette (RRP $142.00). There's also Brush Bags (RRP $150.00 each) and other kits that include various combinations of lipsticks, and eye products. I told you it was a seriously big release!

Have you, or do you think you will get anything from the Holiday Collection? What products catch your eye?
