Now it was about time I shared a big ol' beauty haul with you all, because naturally, I did some damage on one of my favourite online shopping sites, Beauty.com, and sister site, Drugstore.com. I've talked about both US-based sites before, basically, it's a great place to buy makeup at cheaper US prices and I use a mail forwarding service, YouShop, to get it to me in NZ.
The order wasn't just simply me wanting to buy more makeup (ok, it kind of was...), but I did have a few things I wanted to stock up on slash buy back-ups, and a few other things might have just jumped into my cart...
Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Streak | USD $32.00
I've had this palette on my wishlist for yonks now, and I'm so glad I finally added it to my cart. Sadly when it arrived it was a little smashed, but thankfully only a small chunk of the highlighter section was missing and not the entire palette (phew). This has a matte bronzer, shimmery highlight and a gorgeous coral pink blush all in one. The powders are lovely to work with, it's definitely a hit.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles in 160 Brightener | USD $7.19
This is the only concealer I use for under my eyes and I absolutely wouldn't be without it. I am almost out of my current one which I bought back in November, so wanted to have a back up for when that finally bites the dust. It's perfect for really brightening the under eye area in one swipe.
Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in 260 Deep Brown | USD $7.99
Ever since I heard about this from various UK bloggers and vloggers, I knew I was going to need to give it a go. I hope they bring it out in NZ soon because it's a great product. It comes in a few different shades to help set the brows, and add a bit of colour to them as well. The shade Deep Brown is great for me and the texture is very light in the brows and works well to keep the brows looking as natural as possible even if they've been shaped with a pencil. I also love that this came in the special 100 Years packaging!
Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick in 705 Blushing Bud | USD $7.49
I am a sucker for new collections, so the Rebel Bloom collection drew me in immediately. The packaging is beautiful (although not so fitting for our current Winter weather), and the colour I got is a muted corally pink. The formula isn't intensely pigmented, but you can build it up and it has a glossy finish.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge | USD $5.99
You'll see it in my Empties for May. but the RT sponge I have been using was definitely in need of a replacement, so I am so glad I got a brand new one! I use mine on a daily basis and it is my preferred method to apply base products.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent | USD $3.99
This is one of my favourite powders and I talked about it a while ago on CM (have a read here). My current one has very much hit pan, and I think it's not going to last a lot longer, so a back-up was a must!
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lasting Finish Lip Liner in Rose Quartz | USD $2.54
Basically, I saw this on sale and I'm really into lip liners, so I thought I'd try it out. It's not the most smooth lip liner to apply and does drag a little bit, but it definitely stays on the lips. The colour is a 'my lips but better' sorta shade, which is always a winner in my books. For the price, I'm happy!
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Classic Ivory | USD $2.99
Another product I am running very low on, so a repurchase was most definitely necessary! It's an all-around great concealer, good coverage, very creamy and easy to blend and a small amount goes a long way.
Tarte Tartelette Collectors Edition Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Celebrated | USD $28.00
I absolutely adore these blushes, and really could not resist this special limited edition shade. The packaging is beautiful, and the colour is even better. It's a dusty rose pink, that looks incredibly natural on the cheeks.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara | USD $23.00
This is by far my favourite mascara, and I finally got round to giving it a full review on Monday (see it here). It is just awesome for volume, density, and super black lashes. I had just ran out of a tube, so a reorder was very necessary (and they actually gave me another in the shipping box by accident, but I was totally not complaining!)
I love ordering from these sites as well, because in the Beauty.com section you can chose three samples, I picked three from Origins, Bare Minerals and Laura Geller. I'll try and feature these products soon in a The Samples post.
So what do you think of my rather large haul? Any products you are keen to try out for yourself?
