March seriously became the month that every product I own came to an end. Ok, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I did finish up a lot of products this month, so here are my thoughts on them and if I'll be purchasing them again.
Maybelline Makeup Remover Eye + Lip
This is always in an Empties and I say the same old thing each time. Basically it's great, removes eye and lip makeup so easily with stingy the eyes or stripping the skin. I'll always go back to it!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream
I bought this on whim as I was in the market for an eye cream and wanted to try something new. This was pretty good, nothing revolutionary, nor was it as moisturising as I would probably like for my eye cream. I'd probably buy it again, but I like to try out new products when it comes to eye creams.
Essenzza Natural Facial Cleansing Wipes
These wipes came in a Lust Have It* bag a few months ago. I thought they were pretty decent wipes and they didn't leave my skin desperate for some sort of hydration. They worked well on the face makeup, but I skipped these for the eyes as I never find wipes do a good job at removing eye makeup. I don't think I'll be buying these ones.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
One word: amazing. I seriously love this stuff, and have done since I bought it from the UK when it got released over there in early 2014. Finally it has come to NZ, and I've only just been able to get my hands on a couple of bottles because it was sold out every where I tried to find it! You can my review on this beauty here. I'll definitely be continuing to purchase this (forever and ever maybe?)
Za True White Cleansing Foam*
This came in a set that I got before Christmas and as cleansers go I quite liked this. It had tiny bead like particles in it, so it had a small amount of scrub to it. It comes out quite thick and a little bit goes a long way. It easily works into a lather and foams up once you add water. I found it gave my skin a great clean, plus it works so well with my Olay Regenerist Cleansing Brush. Once I get through the mountain of cleansers I have, I might come back to this one.
The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash
If you follow my blog or read my Empties, you'll know I use the Seaweed range a lot, and have loved the effects that it's had for my skin. This was a gel style wash, that foamed up slightly and did a great job at cleansing the skin without drying it out. I'm currently trying out the Purifying Cleansing Wash from the same range and I'm sure it'll pop up in an Empties very soon.
The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream
I was using the Tea Tree range for ages, in particular the Mattifying Lotion from that range but have graduated to this as the Tea Tree one was very drying (but great for oily skin!) This is very light weight and sinks into the skin almost immediately. It definitely mattifys the skin and makes a good base for makeup and to keep the oil at bay for a little longer. I've already bought another tub of this stuff!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer in Light
This is hands down my favourite under eye concealer out there. I was using this one for a while, but then started using the 'Brightener' shade which is even better for me. I continued to use this around the face area, and liked how it blended easily and gave good coverage. A lot of people don't like the applicator, but personally I think it works so well and is easy to swipe under the eye and blend out with a brush or sponge for instant dark circle covering.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown
Another holy grail status product is this brow pencil from Anastasia. I'm already well into my second one and will continue to by it, maybe forever... It is seriously great; the nib is tiny and hard but not to hard that you have to really push down to get any colour. The Dark Brown shade works perfectly with my hair colour and it lasts all day without budging. You can get a natural looking brow, or get it as precise and defined as you'd like. If you want a new brow pencil, I really recommend this one (I buy mine from Urban Outfitters, as they ship to NZ for free orders over USD $50).
L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Concentrated Correcting Serum
I started using this late in February and came to the end of it pretty much a month later. I was using it every single night, and occasionally in the mornings too. It has a pearly like look to the serum, and so far I've definitely noticed a difference in my pore size. Hopefully with continued use this month (I've already got another bottle on the go), I'll noticed a further difference in my skin texture.
VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray
After hearing so much good stuff about other dry texturising sprays (Oribe, I'm looking at you), I was pretty desperate to find a cheaper alternative available in NZ. This was a cross between a dry shampoo and a hair spray, it gave the hair some grit, but it didn't feel crunchy, instead it just gave a more lived in look. It was great for if I wanted to put my hair in a bun as it gave a lot more volume and hold. I think I'll buy this one again, unless any of you guys have suggestions?
Have you used any of these products? What do you think of them?
