Although we are a week into September (how wild!), let's take a look back at some products I have been enjoying over the past month. Surprisingly there are more skin care products than makeup, and I have been finding lately I just end up reaching for the same makeup products but I have been experimenting a lot more with my skincare routine.

I feel like it's been a long time since I did a good old fashioned collective haul. Most of these products I purchased myself, but there are a couple of things that have been gifted to me by PR, so I thought I would include them here.

As always, it's time to round up my empty products from April and share some mini review of them with you all. This month my bag of empties was overflowing... I don't know how it happens but it's like everything I use finished all at once! I have a quite a bit of makeup and skincare so this might be a long one...

Along with all the amazing makeup bits, I am sent, the vast majority of things I am actually sent to try out falls within the skincare category. I really love testing and trailing the latest innovations or new releases from brands, but testing skincare takes a heck of a lot longer to try to get a good opinion about it, compared to just throwing on a lipstick a couple of times which you will immediately see the results. My Empties posts are often a plethora of skincare products that I have finished all the way so I am able to give a good review on them. I thought for this post I would share some new things that have been released, most of them I have used a fair few times so I can give you a few thoughts on them.

Can you believe this is going to be my second to last Empties of the year? As with most month's I always think I'm not going to end up having many products, but am surprised when I empty the bag to find a whole load more. There's a good mix this month of skincare, haircare and makeup.

Oh, I do love a matte lip product - they are definitely my favourite sort of formula to use and wear as really who wants to faff over reapplying their lipstick throughout the day. Clinique has jumped on the matte lip trend and have brought out the Pop Lip Color + Primer* in a matte formula. and added the new Pop Liquid Mattes*.

As always the end of a month means it's time to talk empty products. These weren't all used up in a one month period but have been getting a lot of use over the past couple of months. I also did a bit of a thorough clean out of my makeup drawers, so have included a few of those items - a post about my clean up will be up soon, though! So into the empty product reviews.

Can you honestly believe that it is the end of August? I have heard people starting to talk about Christmas already and it is slightly freaking me out, slash slightly exciting me! I originally thought that I wasn't going to have many loved products this month but when I looked through, there were some standouts, so here they are.
