URBAN DECAY | Naked Cherry Palette - Review + Swatches

URBAN DECAY | Naked Cherry Palette - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

You will know by now I am a sucker for every Naked palette that Urban Decay release. I am not so fussed about the other palettes they bring out from time to time but I know I am always going to love the Naked varieties. The Naked Cherry Palette was released last year and I have been using it a lot of the past few months since I got it for Christmas.

This palette is stunning - the packaging is eye-catching and gorgeous and as always the shade selection inside is totally impressive. These warmer tones have been very popular of late and I think these warmer pinks and cherry tones are a good comprise between wanting some brown neutrals, or going a little more bold with the red toned and very warm neutrals. I feel like this is a palette that a lot more people will find useful in their makeup bag.

The quality of the Urban Decay shadows never disappoint and the ones included in the Naked Cherry are rich and very well pigmented. I think they do some of the best matte shadows in my opinion and the shimmers are so lovely to use. The shades break down as below, with each never before seen in other palettes.

Hot Spot | ivory matte
Caution | soft neutral beige matte
Bang Bang | shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle
Feelz | soft dusty rose matte
Juicy | soft warm peach
Turn On | pale metallic rose shimmer
Ambitious | metallic rose copper
Bing | deep mauve matte
Devilish | reddish plum matte
Young Love | metallic cranberry
Drunk Dial | deep metallic burgundy
Privacy | deep brownish-plum matte

I love that the palette caters for a lot of different eyeshadow looks and has a good even balance of shimmer and mattes. The matte shades included really help to make this a verstile palette with the light ivory and biege tones, while also having complemtenary matte pink/cherry tones to match the shimmers in the palette.

My favourite shades that I reach for all the time are Turn On and Ambitious. You can pat these all over the lids and blend them out for a simple but effective eyeshadow look that make it look like you have put in more effort than you have!

If you are in NZ or Aus, you can buy the Naked Cherry Palette for NZD $91 from Mecca here.
