If you follow my blog you would be well aware that I get the monthly beauty subscription from Australian run bellabox delivered each month. I always look forward to receiving it and seeing what products they've selected for that month. Every now and then they collaborate with another brand, store or in this case Good Magazine to create a carefully curated limited edition box that can be purchased on their website. The Good Magazine x bellabox Conscious Beauty Box* is all about natural beauty products with a focus on Australian and NZ brands.
This limited edition box contains double the amount of products you get from the standard monthly box. This one features 8 full sized products, 3 deluxe/travel sized products and 1 smaller sample size product. It's a whopper of a box and has a great variety of different brands.
Mellow Cosmetics Creamy Matte Lipstick in Blossom | NZD $18 for 3.8g (fullsize)
Mellow is an NZ owned brand and over the past couple of years they've really stepped up their range with new packaging and bringing out new products. I haven't tried these lipsticks but I really like their liquid lipstick formula so I am sure this will be super nice as well. It's a great summery reddy/pink.
Ethique Frizz Wrangler Shampoo Bar | NZD $22 for 110g (fullsize)
There is definitely a move towards eliminating the excess plastic and packaging used in traditional beauty products and Ethique are paving the way for this with their lower waste, recyclable cardboard packaging and a shampoo bar that has zero waste once you've used it. I haven't tried these myself yet but always hear positive things about the brand. This would be such a handy thing for travel and carry-on as you wouldn't have to worry about any liquids.
Matakana Superfoods Organic Maca Root Red + Black Capsules | NZD $39.95 for 90 capsules
I am so intrigued by these and am going to start taking them right away. Maca is a superfood to help balance hormones, boost your energy and can apparently help to make your body adapt and regulate stress. These definitely sound like the type of thing us woman need in our life! I will use these over the next month and report back in an Empties post to share how I found them.
Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil | NZD $35.95 for 10ml
This was one of the smaller sample sized products to be included in the box, it's a 1ml sample so probably only 2-3 uses inside but still a nice chance to try the product. I have used a couple of Kora products before - the brand was founded by supermodel Miranda Kerr. The Noni Oil contains their signature ingredient noni extract which I've never heard of before. According to their site, it's a powerful antioxidant with high levels of Vitamins A and C to help protect your skin from environmental damage which may lead to premature aging and skin sensitivity. The oil is certified organic and not tested on animals at all.
Holistic Hair Salt of the Earth Volumising + Texturising Spray | NZD $25.99 for 250ml
It's been ages since I've tried Holistic Hair and this spray sounds really great and ideal for summer. It says it will give you thicker and fuller hair with just one spray!
Natural Instinct Refreshing Foaming Cleanser | NZD $10.99 for 125ml
I've never heard of this brand before so I am excited that there are two products from them to try and full sized ones at that. A foaming cleanser is really great for those with acne problems or oily skin so I look forward to trying this out.
Natural Instinct Skin Radiance Facial Moisturiser | NZD $10.99 for 125ml
The other product from this brand is this moisturiser which has antioxidants and vitamins packed in from Goji Berry and Kakadu Plum to help restore the skin and make it look more plump and radiant.
Skinfood Coconut + Cucumber Hydrating Mask | NZD $6.99 for 1 sheet
I really enjoy the Skinfood line and these masks are really nice to use. This particular one is going to be very cooling and refreshing - I think I'll put it in the fridge and then use it on a hot day!
Red Seal. Baking Soda Toothpaste | NZD $3.04 for 100g
I've seen a lot of people in NZ raving about this particular toothpaste and with the natural active ingredient of baking soda inside, I'm sure it will work to help whiten and leave your teeth feeling fresh and clean.
Weleda Wild Rose Pampering Body Oil | NZD $38.90 for 100ml (full size)
This is a 10ml travel sized of their 100% certified natural rose oil (hence the price as rose oil is one of the most expensive ones). It sounds and looks luxurious and will be great for summer, not only will it moisturise but the oil will help to give the skin a gorgeous glow.
Zuii Organic Certified Organic Flora Self-Tanning Foam | NZD $35 for 200ml
The final product is a 30ml travel sized all natural self-tanner. Many self-tanners have loads of chemicals inside them to actually work on the skin so I am interested to see how this all natural one works. I have used products from Australian Zuii Organic before and they're really nice. IN NZ you can find this brand at Health 2000 and at Oh Natural.
There was also two single-use sachets of the Weleda Tinted Day Cream in Nude and Bronze. And that concludes the epic Good Magazine x bellabox limited edition box! If you'd like to purchase this box you can do so via. their website for only $44.95 - it's valued at over $130 so it's a great deal and as you can see includes some beautiful natural brands. There is also no need to be a subscriber - it can be purchased just as a one-off. You can also get this box for free when you subscribe to Good Magazine (available to the first 150 subscribers).
What do you think of this special box?
