There is no denying that Mecca just continues to up their game when it comes to the brands they have available, with the holiday range this year being enormous and incredible. Not only are there a whole load of Christmas sets and minis, the 2017 Holiday packaging is beautiful which was created in collaboration with Claudia Moodoonuthi and the National Gallery of Victoria. As someone who is an art lover and works at a gallery, I just love that they collaborate with artists to bring something unique and gorgeous to the branding.
Unlike last year where I went a little HAM with the Holiday ranges, this year I have only bought a few things that I could not resist and I thought I would share them with you all as they would make the perfect Christmas gifts for any beauty lover (or as a treat for yourself, of course!)
One of my favourite things to do whenever I order from Mecca is to always get it gift wrapped and write myself a little note - anyone else do this?!
First up in Holiday gift sets you do not want to miss out on is the Stila Written In The Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set (NZD $39). The Magnificent Metals came out earlier this year and just flew off the shelves and the website so quickly. I have been wanting to try them since they launched but could never decide on just one shade to get, so this set of three mini sized ones was the perfect thing for me to experience the magic that is this product.
The three shades you get in this set are Diamond Dust, Kitten Karma and Smoky Storm all of which are available in the full size too. These are insanely beautiful and the photo just doesn't do them justice to showcase just how beautiful and metallic they are. They are basically Christmas in a tube and I know what I will be wearing come Christmas Day! The full sized ones are NZD $37, so for a couple extra dollars you get three shades to try out and they all come in a very well packaged set!
Mecca has some adorably cute little sets that also double as tree decorations and the Ciate London Kiss Collective Duo (NZD $23) is a total winner. It comes with two mini shades of their Liquid Velvet Liquid Lipstick (NZD $30 for a full size) which are both new and exclusive to the set; Fling and Pin Up. I hadn't tried this formula before but now I will be needing basically all the shades as this formula is so comfortable, whilst still being matte. The light mousse texture glides on easily; it doesn't bleed, it doesn't get smeary or messy and they just look great on the lips. I can't rave more about this set and for about $20 its a complete steal in my eyes! Perfect for a stocking stuffer and these shades are going to suit most skin types too.
I am so glad that NZ finally has the Mecca Maxima/Mecca Cosmetica experience and it's amazing to see the number of new brands coming through all the time. If you need any gifts, I would recommend heading online or in store to check out the plethora of goodies available this holiday season. It's a little overwhelming but these are two sets that will not disappoint!
