We have finally made it - the last month of 2017, how friggin weird is that?! For now, though it is time to look back on the products I finished up throughout November. Also just a little note, I won't have a Most Loved post up for November, which will probably be the first month ever since I started my blog that I haven't posted it but there just wasn't anything that stood out to me. Instead, I will do a double whammy in December.
Skinfood Cleans All Cleanser*
My boyfriend has been using this in the shower for the past few months and I tried it out a few times. It is a nice gentle cleanser, made in NZ with lots of good ingredients inside like manuka honey, kiwifruit, lime flower extract, sunflower oil and aloe vera. It is definitely something I would consider buying again to use.
Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin-Brightening Light Day Cream*
Antipodes products are some of my favourites when it comes to NZ, natural skincare. I love the care and thought put into their products and love the international success they have had so far. This was a relatively new release and aimed at those with combination/oily skin types aka. me. I found this worked really well for my skin providing the perfect amount of moisture without making my skin parched but providing a great base for makeup. I would definitely use this again.
L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler [HA] Night Cream*
A few Empties ago I finished up the eye cream of this range which I really liked, and this night cream also impressed. This one contains Hyaluronic Acid to plump the skin, restore skin texture and help to fill in fine lines. It has a very light consistency to it and I always found the morning after using it my skin just looked and felt softer. I have been missing this one in my routine!
Maybelline Eye + Lip Make Up Remover
A classic CM staple is this makeup remover from Maybelline. It just does such an all round good job at removing eye makeup and stubborn liquid lipsticks. I make sure I have one of these bottles in my beauty cupboard at all times.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Plus Beautiful Brunette
My dry shampoo of choice is always the Batiste one aimed at darker hair because I find this leaves less of a white/grey cast to the hair and helps to give the hair a little boost in colour especially at the roots. It works so well at absorbing oil and freshening the hair up, plus it's affordable and easy to find at supermarkets etc.
Kerastase Reflection Chroma Riche Shampoo*
In my October Empties, I talked about the Conditioner of this range and finished up this shampoo about a week later. As a duo, they worked well for my colour treated hair and I loved how soft it made my hair look and feel. It was my first time trying Kerastase hair care and I will seriously be going back for more!
Sebastian Professional Taming Elixir Smoothing Creme Serum*
Although my hair is naturally quite straight, I do tend to get a bit of frizz from the baby hairs so always tend to use some sort of smoothing creme or serum after towel drying. For ages, I have been using this one from Sebastian which I was sent so long ago. It really lasted me ages and you only needed a small pump to run through the ends of the hair. It was very smoothing, lightweight and didn't leave my hair feeling like it had anything in it, but it just looked healthier.
Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder Lighter Skin*
Although I have hit pan on this bronzer, I still had heaps left to go but unfortunately, one of the hinges broke off and the lid no longer stays on it. It's a good thing this bronzer is literally only about $6 - it is seriously amazing and I was using it daily, reaching for it over a bunch of bronzers that were about 4 times the price! It is completely matte but is the perfect shade for my skin tones to warm up the complexion. I will be rushing to my nearest Essence stand to grab another one ASAP!
Colourpop Brow Boss Pencil in Dark Brown + Brow Pencil in Bangin' Brunette
I don't know how I managed to finish these brow pencils up in the same month, but I had been using one and then the other for a while now. They are both really great and my go-to when it comes to brows at the moment. The Brow Boss gives a more natural look to the brows whereas I find the Brow Pencil to be a lot more pigmented and you can get them looking super sharp and crisp. I like both for different reasons and would 100% buy them again, and again...
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner Pencil in Nude
If you follow my Instagram Stories, you would have seen that last weekend I went to the annual CS&Co. Factory Warehouse Sale (they are distributors for big brands like Essence, OPI, Rimmel, Bourjois, Covergirl, Max Factor etc). They had these Scandaleyes Pencil for like $3 each so I stocked up and grabbed the Nude and the Black one because these pencils are so good - super waterproof and long-wearing. It was about time I threw away this one that I have had for a while and was looking worse for wear! I love this Nude one for using along the waterline to really brighten and help conceal any redness.
