I don't own a whole lot of NARS Cosmetics products, but the majority of what I do have comes in the form of these Cheek Palettes that they bring out quite regularly. Instead of forking out for an individual blush/bronzer/highlighter, I like spending that little bit extra and getting one of these palettes as they often have some of the classic cult shades, as well as a few new ones. One of the most recent is this NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette* which is such a beauty and holds an impressive amount of different powders inside.
Firstly this palette comes in the most amazing mirrored packaged, which is handy to use as a mirror and also just looks very cool. Of course, it is going to get a bit dirty, but this sort of surface is a lot easier to clean then their rubberised packaging! This was launched in Spring 2016
Inside the palette are 7 pans of products; the Paloma Contour Blush (highlight and contour, available in the permanent line USD $42, NZD $66), Laguna Bronzer (available in permanent line USD $40, NZD $63), Blush I, II, and III (palette exclusives), and Goulue Blush (Sephora VIB Rouge Exclusive, limited edition, online only USD $30, unavailable in NZ).
The powders vary in quality; the blushes are lovely, and Laguna is a classic bronzer and always a welcomed edition to any cheek palette. However, the Paloma Contour Duo was a little disappointing. It has a light, matte highlight and a quite warmed toned bronzer, but the powders weren't as soft as some of the others and as you can see in the swatch the Contour shade dragged and was harder to blend. Apart from that, the Blushes included are really nice and offer some versatility. They have a selection of different finishes and some lend themselves to being more of a highlighter type product. I especially love Goulue, a rosy pink with a slight shimmer, and putting it in this palette makes it more available than those only in the US of VIB Rouge status.
I got this palette from Strawberry Net for NZD $79 here, they offer free shipping, and it's one of the only places you can purchase it now as it was limited edition. Generally, these palettes retail in NZ of around NZD $90.
