Not all eyeshadow palettes are created equal; some may copy or dupe other shades or palettes but the quality always differs as does the price point. I have some very affordable palettes I love, and I also have some very expensive palettes which I love also - I am always up for trying new ones and if they are cheaper then even better. W7 is a UK brand, but available from Postie+ here in NZ and all of the products are less than $20. They have a range of eyeshadow palettes, sort of mimicking the Urban Decay Naked range; this Colour Me Buff Natural Eyeshadow Palette* having a close resemblance to that of the Naked 2 palette (see it here, warning it's an old post so the photos aren't great!) - but how does the quality compare for a palette that only costs NZD $15.00?
The palette comes housed in a tin outer, like the Urban Decay Palettes, containing a foam insert (that completely comes out) which houses the 12 eyeshadows. Since posting this I have actually depotted these (they were so easy to take out) and put them in a magnetic Z palette for convenience. FYI the pans aren't magnetised so you do have to add your own to the bottom of the pans. While I like the packaging, it is a little bulky and the beauty with a Z Palette is that I can customise them with other pans.
The W7 Colour Me Buff contains 12 shades, 3 matte and 9 shimmer shades. The majority of them have the same degree of shimmer to them, none of which contain any large chunks of glitter etc. The shadows themselves are amazingly pigmented, the first time I swatched the palette I was pleasantly surprised as they are smooth and buttery, however, they do have a LOT of fallout. Something to note if you are going for more of a darker eye look, it would be advisable to do the eyes first and then the rest of the skin to avoid smears of brown or black! The three mattes (Buff, Chocolate and Onyx) provide the staple matte cream, brown for the crease, and a black which all large neutral palettes should have in my opinion.
The shimmer shades are beautiful - Dust, Topaz and Wave are some of my personal favourites. It is definitely comparable to the Urban Decay Naked 2 and the shades are extremely similar, although the UD shadows feel slightly more expensive and don't create as much fallout. However, if you are on a budget, these palettes could be exactly what you are looking for and honestly at $15.00 for 12 good quality, usable shadows, this is a great palette.
