If you aren't familiar with affordable brand Bronx Colors, check out this post here before you carry on with this to give you a bit of an overview of the brand. Alternatively, I will give you the details in a short sentence or too. Bronx Colors products are manufactured in Germany, they have an extensive range of very affordable makeup (all under $20) and last year they became available here in NZ! Some of the products I have used from them have really impressed me, so I was excited to try out these new releases featuring a Contouring Palette* and one of their Illuminating Face Powders* as part of their Studio Line.
CONTOURING PALETTE* | NZD $24.99
I am a big fan of contouring; I don't go crazy with it with stripes all over my face and the like, but I do like to give my cheekbones a bit of definition (otherwise there is none) to create a bit of shadow and then add some highlighter and blush to top it all off. This palette has five shades included, a white and yellow for highlighting and brightening under the eyes, two contour/bronzing shades (one lighter and one darker), and a pink blush. The quality of the powders surprised me - they are very pigmented and feel soft and are easy to use and blend. The contouring shades are on the cooler side so they look more natural on the skin with no orangey tones. The blush shade is lovely too and it adds a light subtle shimmer and a hint of colour. Overall this is a pretty good palette if you want to get into contouring and are intimated by those larger contouring palettes that have 6+ shades and no idea what to do with them (I've been there...)
There's also a three pan Strobing Palette (NZD $19.99) that looks really good too!
ILLUMINATING FACE POWDER STUDIO LINE* | Price TBC
This is a sneak peek at a new product releasing soon as part of the Studio Line. Strobing and highlighting isn't going out of fashion anytime soon so Bronx Colors are delivering it to us with these affordable Illuminating Face Powders. The shade here is Apricot and it has a light golden/peach sheen to it on the skin. It's a bit more glittery than others but does give a nice glow to the skin. There are three other shades coming including Cream, Pearl, and Salmon.
If you are after a cruelty-free makeup brand with high quality, affordable products I would check out Bronx Colors. In NZ you can buy online from their website and they offer free shipping on orders over $30, or you can order from Beauty Bliss. Bronx Colors is also stocked in a number of countries worldwide including Australia, US, UK, France, Hong Kong and more.
