ESSIE | 2016/2017 Summer Nail Polish Collection - Review + Swatches

ESSIE | Summer Nail Polish Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Every season essie bring out a brand new set of 6 shades and I always get excited to see what they come out with. They already offer an amazing array of colours and finishes, and I am surprised they still find gaps and product unique and beautiful colours. The new Summer Collection* hits it out of the park once again with 6 shades to get your nails all set for the sun.

One thing I love about essie is that each collection has a few different shades that might not be your standard Summer colour. Much like the recent Winter Collection (here), which was filled with lighter pastel tones. essie now takes up the bulk of my nail polish stash, and with good reason as the bottles are super cute, the shades are fab, and the brush and formulas make them easy to use and they last well on the nails.

The Summer Collection is filled with fun bright hues, as well as the darker glittery shade too because not everyone wants to have bright nails! The shades are:

Coconut Cove | Sweet cream white. I have had this on my toes all Christmas period and also on my fingers too. I found two coats was definitely a necessity for this shade.

Berried Treasures | Bright ruby berry. This is a gorgeous shade and a good one to add a pop of colour to your outfit in a more subtle way. I think I need to use this one next!

Hiking Heels | Scorching hot lava red. A red in a Summer range does not go a-miss.

Loot The Booty | Blue sapphire pavé. This one definitely has the coolest name and reminds me of the ocean when the sun hits it, especially with the shimmer in it.

Viva Antigua! | Iridescent crystalline turquoise. I don't have a shade like this in my collection, the shimmer through it takes it to another level.

Tribal Text-Styles | Black gold and crushed onyx. Even though it isn't necessarily a summery shade, this just works with the rest of the collection.

The new shades can be found on essie stands now for $19.99 each. My picks are Coconut Cove, Loot The Booty, and Viva Antigua!

What shade is your favourite?
