The past couple of months has been Colourpop craziness. I have made more orders in the space of 2 months than I did in like 2 years. This year I have got to slow down on the ordering but with endless deal after deal, and new products being released, I have become royally sucked in by their marketing campaigns. It isn't all bad though because I have been loving all the new goodies I have bought recently and I had to share with you this latest haul which arrived the day before Christmas Eve.
Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in Churro | USD $8.00
The much loved Churro is back people! This was created in the middle of last year I think and released in super limited quantities and people literally went crazy for it. Like many other products that CP release and claim they are limited edition and never coming back', Churro got re-released and it looks like it is here to stay. It's a tie-dye highlighter made from a combo of three other CP highlighters and is a stunner, so no wonder everyone lost their minds. It's a golden, coppery peach shade with gold and silver shimmer.
Super Shock Shadow in Summer Lovin' | USD $5.00
This shade is a newly released one and I can't resist the tie-dye formula. This is described as a soft metallic beige bronze. It definitely has a bit more peach to it, but could be different depending on how much of each shade is mixed with the tie-dye. As with all the shadows, they apply super creamy, but have a powdery finish.
Creme Gel Liner in Overboard | USD $5.00
The name of this liner basically sums up my Colourpop hauls... overboard! Although I have used a lot of CP products, I was yet to try the Creme Gel Liners, I went for this shade as I love these metallic bronzes and the formula is very good, and it seems to set down and stick around.
Ultra Matte Lip in Perky (Limited Edition Christmas) | USD $6.00
It's a bit mean to feature this shade as it is now sold out and there isn't much left of the Holiday range (but what is left is discounted, get in quick!) I probably have very similar shades from other brands but I just love this colour and have happily added it to my collection.
Moment of Weekness Ultra Matte Lip Collection | USD $35.00
The main reason I made this order was for this incredible set of 7 Ultra Mattes, once for each day of the week. Seriously, this set is gorgeous. I love the packaging and the boxes of each individual one is exactly the shade you will find inside. The selection of shades is very unique and different to other CP Ultra Mattes I own with a few more unusual shades in there for me, at least! Monday is a warm peachy beige, Tuesday is a bright coral red, Wednesday is a vibrant hot pink (i.e. "On Wednesdays, we wear pink"), Thursday is a brilliant red violet, Friday is a true black (initially released as a single on Black Friday last year), Saturday is a saturated blackberry, and Sunday is a soft terracotta.
Ultra Glossy Lips in My Jam, Bestie, Finders Keepers, Weho, Dropout + Master Plan | USD $6.00 each (or I got them all for free!)
At the time that I ordered, they had a huge deal going that the more you spent the more free Ultra Glossy Lips you could add to your cart. My order was USD $64.00, so I ended up with six different shades. I hadn't tried their lip gloss formula before, and although I tend to go for matte I like having some glosses in my collection. The shades I got were: My Jam (sheer metallic, sparkly golden nude metallic), Bestie (creme, mid-tone pink). Finders Keepers (creme, mid-tone mauve), Weho (creme, creamy beige), Dropout (sheer, chocolate raspberry), and Master Plan (creme, dusty plum). There is a good mix of finishes, with the more opaque cremes, to the sheers and even the metallic. The formula doesn't seem sticky, but I am yet to try them on the lips.
Colourpop still has the free international shipping offer with orders over USD $50.00, which is very dangerous and may encourage more spending. Thye have also just shown a sneak look at the new single powder eyeshadows they are releasing that I will, of course, need to try! For the meantime, I am resisting the urge!
