There's nothing quite like The Body Shop bringing out their Christmas scents and products to really get you in the mood for the festive season. This year sees the introduction of some new (and delicious) smells and also the chance to personalise your very own body butter.
The coolest thing about this year is the chance to get your giftee's name on a body butter (or get your own if you want to treat yourself!) It is always SO hard to find things with my name on it; it was a constant struggle when I was younger, so when this arrived with my name on it I was so over the moon. There are limited stores around that will do them, but in NZ the easiest way is to order online, add a body butter of your choosing to your cart and then shop here, and pick what sticker you want. There are premade ones that say, My Sis, My Bro, Mum, Dad etc, but then also you can choose the animal and write whatever name (within a limit of 11 characters). This would make the ultimate personalised gift!
The three new scents for this year are; Vanilla Chai (creamy milk and vanilla with notes of warm cinnamon, cardamom and sweetened brown sugar), Frosted Berries (cranberry, blackcurrant and raspberry with white flowers, creamy praline and sweet vanilla), and Spiced Apple (aroma of freshly baked apples with notes of cinnamon, orange and white flowers). All of them smell so nice, and offer something different that should appeal to most people. My pick is the Frosted Berries scent, although the others come so close!
The Body Butters* come in each three scents as above ($38.95) and are essentials for dry skins. I find them to be quite rich, but so moisturising and they smell great too. I was also sent the Frosted Berries Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub* ($47.50, available in all scents) which I have used in the past in another scent. It does a great job at removing dead skin cells and revealing super smooth skin when you step out of the shower - an essential step if you are going to fake tan. The Shimmer Mists* ($46.95, comes in each three scents) were brought out last year as well, and leave a light fragrance on the skin as well as a silvery sheen - perfect for the festive party season.
There are so many amazing gift sets this year, I feel like each year they have more and more and more available. The cheapest available starts at $13.90 and goes up to $154.95 for sets that include 6+ full sized products and are great value for money. There is something for everyone and to suit most budgets. They brought back the apple tins from last year in each of the scents; above is the Vanilla Chai Festive Tin* ($69.95) and includes deluxe minis of the Shower Gel, Body Butter, Body Scrub and Body Lotion. These are so handy for travelling and with Christmas as the ultimate travel time these will no doubt make great gifts.
Check out all the available gift sets on their website here, or head in store and have a sniff of all the new scents. For the ultimate gift, the Advent Calendar is proving to be so great so far (watch my Insta Stories for unboxings of it each day). The price is quite high here in NZ ($295.00), compared to about (USD $100) in the States, but if you like to really spoil someone, look no further.
Have you been in to check out the Christmas gift sets? What scent sounds like you?
