MOST LOVED | November '16 - Murad, Dermalogica, ColourPop, BH Cosmetics x Shaaanxo + Stila - CassandraMyee

December is well underway already; the Christmas tree is up, All I Want For Christmas is playing in every single shop you walk into, and the advent calendars are being opened (follow my Instagram stories to see The Body Shop, ASOS Beauty Calendar + the Tanya Burr Cosmetics ones being opened daily!) But let's just take it back to November so I can share with you all of the products that I found myself reaching for loads and absolutely loving.

Murad Skin Smoothing Polish* | NZD $58.00
An exfoliator is an essential part of my skincare routine and should be a part of yours as well. There are scrubs out there for all skin types, also chemical exfoliants to really give your skin a good deep clean. This one made it's way into my shower last month and I have been really enjoying it - it's my first foray into the Murad skincare range. This is from their Pore Reform range to clear and refine pores and smooth the skin's texture. I have been using this about 3-4 times a week in the mornings and find it gentle on the skin, but it also has a good amount of grit to it with the addition of jojoba beads. Overall, my skin feels much smoother and cleaner after each use and it helps to control the amount of oil throughout the day.

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil* | NZD $139.00
As an oily/combination skinned person, I always had an aversion to using oils on my skin, but in my years of beauty blogging I have come to realise how important and how beneficial an oil can be for all skin types. All of the ones I have, I use at night as it allows for them to really penetrate the skin and also they take a little bit to soak in. This brand new release from Deramlogica is actually a face oil designed to be used in the morning and worn under your makeup to promote and help give you dewy and radiant skin. I was a bit on the fence at first thinking surely my makeup won't like this and it will just break up throughout the day, but amazingly this oil doesn't do that and my makeup lasts as it normally would!

If you have dry skin, you can use this and then place a  moisturiser on top, but I find using about 5 drops of this massaged onto the skin gives me a great base for makeup and it helps foundation blend onto the face very well. It can also be used mixed in with your primer or foundation; particularly good if you have quite a matte foundation but want to add some glow to it. I think it's a beautiful oil to use and one I have used a lot since the start of November.

BH Cosmetics x Shaaanxo 18 Color Eyeshadow + Lip Palette | USD $22.00 [now currently only $14.50]
It took me a while to finally order this palette but I am so glad I did. I managed to get it when it was only USD $11 a couple of months back and so far have been loving the eyeshadows. I don't use the lip side of the palette very much and was mostly drawn to it for the shadows alone. I have swatched the three I use the most above; the pigmentation is lovely, they blend well, and there isn't much fall out with them. I will have a post up soon with full swatches of both sides of the palette. Shannon has done a fantastic job on this collab - it's great to support a fellow kiwi!

ColourPop Brow Pencil in Bangin' Brunette | USD $5.00
I am having a big ColourPop moment right now (case in point, this haul), and I got this brow pencil a few months back and have been really liking it lately and use it most days. The formula at first was much softer than I was used to it, but after a few uses, you get used to just needing a light hand. I like how this looks in my brows, the nib is really thing and precise, plus it lasts all day long.

ColourPop Lippie Stix in Cami | USD $5.00
I ordered this shade all because of Christel from Makeupper, who looked amazing wearing it, and it has not disappointed! It is in the Matte X formula so it does set down on the lips and lasts for hours I find. They are much more comfortable compared to the Ultra Matte Lips, but they still have the amazing pigmentation. If you are into these rosy shades, you need this one!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina | NZD $30.00 for 3 Minis
A recent MECCA Maxima order saw me automatically add the Stila Stay All Day Mini Liquid Lipstick Set to my bag, specifically because it had the shade Patina in it. UK blogger/vlogger, Lily Pebbles raved about this shade and it always looked so nice on her, and it has been a steady favourite of mine since I got it. The colour is perfection, and the formula is quite different to other matte liquid lips (I have used many!). It's really light and liquidy to apply, the colour is fully saturated in one swipe and they take about 30 seconds or so to dry down and last for hours and hours; even through a messy dinner! They feel a lot more comfortable than most matte lips and don't dry them out too much that you feel like you desperately need some lip balm. I am also loving the two other shades, Perla and Serenata - I feel like the set is a really good dupe for some of the original Kylie Cosmetics shades. If you can get your hands on this limited edition mini set, do it, or maybe add it to your Christmas wishlist.
