SIMPLY ESSENTIAL | Pro Series Makeup Brushes - Review - CassandraMyee

You could have all the expensive makeup in the world, but it's not going to apply well if you haven't got the right tools. A good makeup brush will do wonders to how product applies, and looks on the skin. The Beauty Collective through My Beauty Store have brought out the Simply Essential Pro Series Makeup Brushes* that are affordable, but high quality so you can get the most out of your makeup.

The Simply Essential Brushes range from NZD $15.99 to $26.99, and they look amazing. My first impressions of them was instantaneous love, the copper/rose gold ferrule and matte black handle make them look chic and expensive - perfect to have on display with your makeup! I was sent three of the brushes to try out of the range of  10 brushes.

The bristles are extremely soft and have quite densely packed synthetic fibres, which makes them good for buffing in product, particularly the cream variety. They wash up good as new, with some warm water and some baby shampoo - they kept their shape and the product was removed from them easily.

Now onto the three brushes I have tried: the F3 Angled Kabuki Brush ($26.99) is definitely one of my favourite ones from the three. It can be used for buffing in foundation all over the face, and also for cream bronzer, contour and blush. The angled brush works really well over the cheeks. The F6 Flat Concealer Brush ($15.99) is one of the smaller ones and as the name suggests is great for blending out concealer over spots and imperfections on the skin. It can also be used for eyeshadow too. Lastly, the F1 Flat Top Kabuki Brush ($26.99) is ideal for foundation application as the wide top helps to blend out foundation quickly and effectively on the skin by using circular 'buffing' motions.

Overall these brushes feel great to use, wash up well and I haven't had any shedding from them, plus the copper/rose gold gets a big tick from me. You can purchase these online from My Beauty Store or they also have them at Farmers and possibly some pharmacies.

What makeup brush brand do you like using? What do you think of these Simply Essential Pro Brushes?
