REMINGTON | Shine Revival Hair Dryer Review

REMINGTON | Shine Revival Hair Dryer Review - CassandraMyee

When it comes to hair tools, I can always trust Remington as producing great quality products that last. I've always been a Remington fan; my current hair dryer (well before this one, I mean!) was a Remington one that I've had for years and years but it still performs just as well as it did when I first got it. My conical curling wand is a Remington too and I use that nearly on a daily basis! The Shine Revival Hair Dryer* is the newest addition to their hair styling range  - you might have seen it featured in my Mother's Day Gift Guide - but today I've got some more in-depth information about the dryer and some of the features.

The Shine Revival Hair Dryer contains not just the dryer itself but some other tools including; a round hair brush, two styling/sectioning clips, a small pouch (although annoyingly the brush doesn't fit in it) and two travel sized (50ml each) Osmo Berber Oil Shampoo and a Berber Oil Hair Mask, both containing argan oil which is great for the hair to nourish, treat, add shine and decrease frizz. The whole set makes a great gift with the addition of the bag and the brush.

The Hair Dryer has an impressive 2300 watts of power with a salon-quality motor - this cuts down the drying time quite a bit I've found and it also means this is going to last for many years without deteriorating dramatically in quality. As well as the high wattage which means the air flow is stronger and hotter, the dryer has infused technology with keratin, argan and ceramic, this helps to evenly distribute the heat and ensure the hair isn't being damaged too much with the heat. The Shine Revival also produces 90% more ions which means you'll be left with a sleeker and smoother blow dry without much frizz.

I find the size of this dryer is spot on; it's not too heavy to hold but it's big enough that you're going to be able to dry your hair quickly. There are two air speed settings and three heat settings as well as a cool shot button that I like using to set the hair and cool it down quickly at the roots to help hold some volume. I have absolutely loved using this and it's only been just over a week, but it is definitely drying my hair quicker and it's noticeably smoother than normal. Plus the bronze exterior colour looks great too, and the cord is a good length so you can move around the bathroom with it!

The Shine Revival Dryer should be in stores now where ever they stock Remington hair tools. It retails for NZD $159.99 and it comes with a three-year warranty. To go along with this, there is also a Shine Revival Straightener (RRP $129.99) where the ceramic plates are infused with Moroccan Argan Oil.

Have you ever used a Remington hair dryer? What do you think of the Shine Revival one?
