M.A.C | Future M.A.C Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

The brand new Mineralize collection from M.A.C is here! Future M.A.C is packed with lots of soft silvery tones, and lighter shades of grey, pink and blues in a futuristic range of products - think loads of glitter, highlight and a lot of sheen, which is very on trend at the moment.

MINERALIZE EYE SHADOW x4 in Full Orbit* | RRP $90.00
I have actually tried these eye shadow quads before as they brought them out with the Haute Dogs collection in September last year and often bring them out in other collections. There are three colourways available and I was sent Full Orbit, which contains more neutral cool tones with a creamy white, dirty olive, deep grey and soft brown with pearl. These shadows are interesting as they aren't the most pigmented but I find them so smooth and easy to work with and you can layer them up for more intensity. The shades aren't glittery, but they give off more of a satin sheen on the lids.

MINERALIZE GLASS in The Zone* | RRP $58.00
The Zone is a pretty awesome colour in the tube and on the lips; a great one to layer over other lip colours. It is described as a 'dirty mauve with pearl. The base colour is quite light but it still gives a good amount of pigment and the glitter is a very fine bronzed gold. I find these can be a bit sticky for me, but it does mean they last a bit longer on the lips than your usual gloss. There's a shade available called Inter-Spatial, which I think defines this collection to a T - it's an amazing looking silver with multicoloured glitter throughout it. Definitely worth going in and swatching that one at a M.A.C store.

MINERALIZE LIPSTICK in Cybernaut* | RRP $58.00
I've never tried one of the Mineralize Lipsticks from M.A.C before, and I have found this one so nice to use. First off I really like the packaging, they're a lot larger than the normal lipsticks, and have a matte lid, with a shiny base and the lid satisfyingly snaps down with a magnetic closure to it. Out of the shades available, this is perhaps the most 'safe' described as a neutral pink. The formula is creamy and well pigmented (not the most pigmented lipstick ever, though), but it feels comfortable on the lips.

This collection came out in all stores in New Zealand on April 11th, but is still available now.

Have you bought anything from this range yet? What do you think of it?
