It's hard to grasp that it's the end of April already. It only feels like yesterday that it was my birthday at the start of the month! April was a pretty full on month for me, but I've come out the end of it with some exciting new ventures ahead. Beauty wise I tried out a lot of new products, but these few have been ones that have stood out to me this month.
Garnier Miracle Wakeup Cream*
You might have seen this on my Instagram last month (and I actually won a night at a 5 Star hotel because of it), but this new Wakeup Cream from Garnier has become a staple for me. This is a magic little pottle and basically acts as both a day cream and a primer for the skin. Since I've been using this the past month I haven't touched a single primer! It has a thick consistency to it and has that slight silicon feel to it. Once applied on the skin it sinks in and has this blurring and smoothing. I find my makeup applies much smoother over the top of it and help it to last longer with the aid of glycerin - the magic ingredient found in the NIVEA Post Shave Balm* (review here) that myself and many others have been using as a primer.
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Clueless
I made a rather large ColourPop order last month (see my haul here) and have been loving all the products I got, especially the Ultra Matte Lip Creams. The shade Clueless is my ideal mauve pink, perfect for everyday wear. These dry down incredibly matte and they can be quite drying over time but they do last!
Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder
I think this product has featured before, but I noticed I was reaching for it a lot more this month than usual. I just have this mini size that came in a sample pack of products and for how much I use it, I don't seem to be making a huge dent. It's a beautiful bronzer, pigmented, matte and leaves a good amount of natural looking colour to the skin.

Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme! Leather Black Mascara*
I've been on a mascara buzz lately, trying a lot of different ones and finally deviating from my beloved Better Than Sex from Too Faced (although I do go back to it!) This one from Maybelline has stood out this month; the brush bulges in the middle and tapers at either end, and I find it gives a great amount of volume to the lashes with dense black colour. This mascara is a great one if you are after something a bit cheaper, but will also do a great job.

Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Bronze Palette*
This recently landed into my beauty stash and the hype is definitely real on these. After hearing Amelia Liana (UK Blogger/vlogger) rave about these palettes for over a year I was so excited to see they were being released to NZ... finally! The pigmentation and quality of the shadows are very good and they blend well too. I'll have a swatch and review post coming on this soon.
