Another month for 2016 done and dusted, so, of course, that means another Most Loved. This month I tried out a load of new products, but these few were the standouts...
Hask Essentials Express Blow Dry Hair Drying Spray*
I've only recently reviewed this product (as well as another - see them both here), and in that review, I raved about this Express Blow Dry Spray. This stuff is seriously amazing, you just shake it up, as it's a bi-phase solution, spritz it on and it helps to evaporate the water in your hair so it dries a lot quicker. I mean, who doesn't want that?! It also feels so lightweight in the hair, you can't even feel it and it also protects the hair from heat styling too. I'm more than halfway through it, and will have to purchase another as soon as this one is finished!
Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream*
This new eye cream from Clinique has had a huge release here in NZ (and Australia and the US too) with a lot of hype surrounding it. I have become such a fan of it, so much so I am nearly finished it and I only started using it at the beginning of January! I talk a bit more about it in my review of it here, but overall I find it hydrating, it definitely decreases puffiness and my dark under eyes are less noticeable. It sinks in quickly, is non-irritating and sits perfectly under makeup. At NZD $49.00, I think it's well priced especially for a good quality eye cream and I think I will have to purchase it again once this tube is finished.
L'Oreal La Palette Nude in Beige*
Now onto the makeup bits I've been loving, and apparently most of them have been from L'Oreal! They had a big new release earlier this month (see them here) and I have been so into all the products. One of the exciting things was the NZ release of the La Palette Nude Eye Shadow palettes that have been out in the UK for a while now. Although I really enjoy both, the Beige palette has been my go-to. I love the compact size, especially considering you get ten shadows, there's a good mix of shades and the pigmentation overall is pretty good! I'll have a post with swatches of this one and the Rose edition coming soon this month.
L'Oreal Infallible 24h-Matte Foundation in 22 Radiant Beige
I feel like I was totally behind on this product as I only got around to purchasing it from Countdown when they had it on special (I think it was only $28!), but it is so great - I'm gutted I didn't buy it earlier! I have the shade 22 Radiant Beige which is a tad too dark for me, so I might need to buy the lighter shade, but during the summer, I can definitely make it work. The formula is really lovely to use and blend onto the skin, It gives pretty full coverage and has a beautiful matte, but still slightly glowy, finish to the skin. Although I still get a bit oily with it, it's nothing a little powder can fix. It is definitely the best performing foundation for this heat and humidity we've had in Auckland.
L'Oreal False Lash Superstar Mascara in Black*
This was another of the new releases this month and I was seriously blown away by this mascara. I was a bit dubious about the dual end thing as I have found with this style of mascara it can tend to make your lashes look grey due to the mixing of the white primer and black mascara. Thankfully this works so well - the white primer adds extra length to the lashes and the mascara creates some serious volume, length and separation, plus it is densely black with no grey lashes in sight. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do, but now I can't stop reaching for it.
Kleancolor Ms. Chick Blush in Coral*
Last month I had the chance to try out the very cheap, and affordable, Shop Miss A (see the haul with swatches here), and this was one of the many blushes I got for only USD $1. I've been reaching for it loads as I find it really compliments tan and bronzed summer skin. The colour is a beautiful coral peach, plus it's matte, which I usually prefer for my blush. It blends well on the cheeks and has a good amount of colour payoff to it. If you are planning on making an order from the site, definitely check out these as they have a lot of other shades to choose from.
