TOO FACED | Christmas 2015 Le Grand Château - Review + Swatches

TOO FACED | Christmas 2015 Le Grand Chateau - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

No one does Christmas sets quite like Too Faced do. Last year's La Belle Carousel was all kinds of gorgeous and it still sits pride of place on my dresser. The 2015 Christmas sets are just as amazing, and the new Le Grand Château takes cute packaging to a whole other level.

Le Grand Château is literally housed inside a mini mansion, complete with gorgeous illustrations, a little roof that comes off and doors that open to reveal the three palettes and a mini Better Than Sex Mascara, which is my holy grail mascara (review of it here).

Inside the house you'll find three separate mini palettes each containing six eyeshadows and either a blush or bronzer. Although this set would make an amazing gift, you could also buy it and give out the palettes separately, as on the back it has a little gift tag space to write, 'To' and 'From' in it. But personally I am keeping this set all for myself! So all up with the Le Grand Château you get 18 eyeshadows in various finishes, two blushes and one bronzer, and a mini mascara.

PARIS AU NATURALE
Out of the three palettes I think this one appeals to me the most - you can't beat a good set of neutrals and this one has some beautiful shades in it. The top three are all mattes, and cover the basics - a cream, a light brown and a darker brown. The other three are extremely metallic and shimmery and are just stunning. You do get a little bit of fall out with these shadows, but the pigmentation is absolutely amazing, especially on the matte shades - they feel rich and buttery. The blush in this palette, Mademoiselle, is a matte peach that blends well and brightens the complexion.

PARIS AFTER DARK
This palette contains two matte shades, Rendezvous and Noir, with the rest having a metallic or duochrome finish to them. I like the more purple/pink tones that this palette has, and you can keep things light by just using Rendezvous and Parfait, or really deepen the look with Très Chic, which is super dark and glittery. Très Fab is the blush included and it is a slightly sheeny bright baby pink, that compliments the shadow shades well.

PARIS IN LOVE
Last but not least is this gorgeous palette, which has some neutral bronze shades, but also some really interesting pink tones, like Fleur and Je t'aime. There's only one matte shade, Amour, and as you can see the rest are very shimmery. This one contains the one bronzer in Jolie, a darker bronzer with a very intense golden sheen through it, not a good one for contouring but for warming up the face especially during Summer this will be a lovely one and also makes for a good eyeshadow too.

If you need some last minute Christmas gift ideas I would seriously take a look at the Too Faced range, I know any beauty lover would absolutely be over the moon to receive this under the Christmas tree. Le Grand Château retails for USD $49.00, and is available currently on Beautylish who ship to NZ for free with orders over USD $50.

Did you get anything from the 2015 Christmas Collection? What do you think of this set?
