ULTA3 | Lipstick Collection - Review + Swatches

ULTA3 | Lipstick Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Last month I was super lucky to attend a Bourjois launch party, and I came home with a very generous goodie bag packed with Bourjois products as well as some products from brands that the PR company look after. Inside were a few lipsticks from the very affordable brand, ulta3*. I already own one shade in my stash, so I thought I would do a little swatch and review and share the four other shades I got.

ulta3 has been available at Postie for a couple of years now I believe, they also do a huge range of nail polish colours (see some reviews of them here) and also they are expanding into more makeup items too (here). For the price, the quality of the products are pretty great and the lipsticks have actually impressed me a lot.

They are housed in simple square black bullets; the packaging doesn't feel like the most expensive in the world, but one thing I absolutely love is the clear indicator on the base that shows exactly what colour is inside. The five shades I have are all very creamy feeling, and have a glossy finish to them, so they're not going to last forever on the lips and definitely require touch ups. I don't think the pigmentation is mind blowing, but at the price point you really can't complain at all.

My favourite is 009 Orchid - I think this rosey pink looks really flattering on the lips. My least favourite from the bunch and the most disappointing is 041 Nude Kisses - this is very sheer, almost like a balm with a lot of frosty glitter through it.

The lipsticks are only $4.00 each from Postie stores and they have a wide range of shades.

Have you tried any ulta3 products? What lip colour would you pick from the five above?
