I love a good liquid lipstick, and I think I actually prefer them over normal lipsticks most of the time. I mean who doesn't want amazing pigmentation with a long-lasting matte finish?! So many brands are coming out with their own versions of them, and a relatively new addition to the makeup world is these gorgeous ones from Jeffree Star Cosmetics* that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, and the shade options are insanely beautiful.
Firstly the packaging - it is stunning! The hot pink, with rose gold stars and writing, is eye-catching and absolutely gorgeous. Another winning factor with the packaging is the doe foot applicator which is curved to perfectly fit onto the lip, and this also helps to catch the product so you have the ample amount to apply.
As formula goes these are a lot lighter than other liquid lipsticks from the likes of Australis for example. They are very thin and watery but have maximum pigment to them, I was actually blown away by how opaque these go onto the lips. The take a minute or so to completely set down to a matte finish, but it doesn't feel overly drying (unlike the Australis ones, which I love but they do start to feel very dehydrating after a while!) When they set they aren't going anywhere, although if you eat something messy like a burger or salad with lots of dressing prepare to need a touch up.
The shades I was sent are Redrum, the ultimate red shade, (714), a very light peachy coral (this looks slightly ridiculous on me), and my favourite, Celebrity Skin, a soft brown nude. Beauty Bliss are stocking the majority of the shade range for $34.00 each.
