You all know I am an online shopping addict - it's the best way to go! When I was contacted by Recreate Yourself (or RY.com.au) to try a couple of products from the range they stocked, I was really excited. I'd not heard about the site previously but I'm glad I know about it now! They stock heaps of great brands that aren't easy to get in NZ; Anastasia Beverly Hills, Becca, Bioderma, BITE, and Gorgeous Cosmetics just to name a few.
BITE Beauty Matte Creme Lipstick in Pastille Rosebud* | NZD $37.99
On the site it says this is a berry pink, but it definitely isn't! Rosebud is a bright classic red shade with an amazing formula. They call them a Matte Creme and that's very appropriate. The finish is like a semi-matte, so not drying at all and very comfortable to wear. I have a mini duo BITE lipstick I bought back from the States and that is just as gorgeous - BITE definitely nail it in the lip product department!
Gorgeous Cosmetics Custom Eyes 4-Pan All-In-One Eyeshadow Palette for Blue Eyes* | NZD $50.39
I was beyond excited to try out this from Gorgeous Cosmetics. I'd heard Sharon The Makeup Artist rave about a few of the products in some of her videos and was keen to try some out, thanks to RY I now can! They have a bunch of these four pan shadows, aimed to compliment different eye colours. I love this quad - it has basically the perfect mix of shades. The top left is a shimmery creamy highlighting shades, top right is a matte brown (an essential), bottom left is a beautiful shimmery golden peach, and bottom right is a dark chocolate brown with golden shimmer through it. The pigmentation is really great on these, and they blend out so well. The matte brown makes the perfect crease colour, and as matte shadows go it really impressed.
The pans in the palette are magnetised in, so if you had another palette from Gorgeous you could swap them out and make your own custom palette. Or transfer them into a Z Palette if you so desire.
The shipping time was around the 1 and a half to two week mark, which is fine by me! They offer shipping to NZ starting at $9.95, and offer a couple of different options for tracking. You also get free samples with each order which is always a bonus!
