EMPTIES | July '15 - anatomicals, The Body Shop, Natio, ABH, Maybelline + More - CassandraMyee
Who can believe it is actually the end of July? Definitely not me! This month has been rather unsettled as I moved cities (quite stressful really) and I feel like I've been out of the blogging sync and have A LOT to catch up on. For now, here are my empties for July; there's lot of skincare (as usual) and a couple of makeup products too.

anatomicals 100% Not Chanel, But Cocoa All The Same Cocoa Body Cleanser*
I don't share shampoos, conditioners and soap/body wash products in my empties very often, but I had to talk about this one because it smelt bloody delicious! I was sent it around Easter time and have only just got around to using it up, but it is a body wash I would totally buy again for the scent alone. It's very sweet and just smells like you are rubbing chocolate all over your body (it even has a brown colour to it). As body washes go this one was made that bit better with the amazing scent.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion
I've been using this as my night cream for a few years now and I can definitely see a difference in the older acne scarring I have. The tea tree also helps to fight and treat acne, so this is a double duty night cream. If you have oily skin, I totally recommend this (and the whole tea tree line), but if you have drier skin this may not fair very well as it is a touch drying and a lot lighter than other night creams.

Australis Brow Pencil in Dark Brown
I haven't used this in months and months (due to my current love, see below) and only discovered it as I was cleaning through my makeup storage. It was definitely time to throw this little stub of a pencil out! I was using this pencil everyday for ages, it was a go-to and one that I know I can rely on. It is more on the hard side, and I like the definition you can get with it. I'll probably repurchase it eventually to have in my stash.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette
As mentioned above, this is my current brow product of choice and one that I can't get enough of it. I already have a back up of it, and am going to be buying a couple more soon. The nib is so fine, so it means you can get great definition with it, and it also doesn't feel like you have anything in your brows making them look a bit more natural. It lasts all day in the brows and doesn't smudge and the spoolie on the other end is great for dispersing the colour and softening the front part of the brows.

Garnier 5 Sec Perfect Blur Smoothing Base Perfector
Yet again, I'm through another tube of this primer! I really like it and find it a cheaper alternative to other silicon, pore filling/blurring primers and it works pretty darn well. I haven't actually repurchased this yet (usually I would have another back up for when it runs out) as I'm trying some new primers* from Australis that you can see in this photo here

Living Nature Skin Revive Exfoliant*
I wrote a full review on this NZ product here that has more detailed information about it. It was a good exfoliant, but perhaps not as 'scrubby' as I would prefer. For something natural, and for everyday this is a great one and I would definitely recommend it for sensitive skin, but for me I need something that has a bit more scrub to it.

Natio Eye Contour Wrinkle Cream
This was the biggest tube of eye cream I've ever used and it seemed like it was bottomless! I have used this before a while ago, but decided to go back to it as I just couldn't find an eye cream that really worked for me. It was a lighter cream, but was moisturising and it did the job as far as a basic eye cream goes. I would buy it again because I think it's great value for money for the size of the tube you get. I'm currently trying out one from Sukin I bought on a whim, so expect to see that in an Empties in a month or so.

Maybelline Makeup Remover Eye + Lip
You can barely see it in the photo but it is there (and completely empty!) If you read my blog often you'll know I get through a bottle of this over a month (or shorter) and it's my go-to for eye make up removing and it does a great job on stubborn liquid lipsticks too. It's one of the bi-phase solutions you shake up and then use and it doesn't irritate my skin or eyes at all, plus it's cheap and you can get it at the supermarket.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil
If you haven't used this magical product before I seriously suggest you do! This is my second bottle, and it has lasted me well over 6 months (maybe even longer). It removes makeup so easily, you just take two pumps apply it directly onto dry made up skin and rub it around then add water so it turns milky and the makeup just comes straight off. This also works well to get rid of any mascara traces left over and it doesn't sting the eyes at all (although there is a specific eye remover one too). I've already purchased another and would recommend it to anyone wanting a great cleansing oil.

Have you used any of the products I finished up?
