ZA COSMETICS | Brow Liner in Natural Grey + Natural Brown - Review + Swatches

ZA COSMETICS // Brow Liners in Natural Grey + Natural Brown | Review + Swatches

I've got a major thing for brows; after finally discovering last year how amazing a filled in brow can look and transform the face, I've not been able to go 'bare-browed' at all. I've been trying out a lot of different brow products, powders, pencils, liners etc and some work great, others not so much (I can't get powders to work for me). Brow pencils and liners are my favourite sort to run through the brows and create the shape I desire and the Za Brow Liner* does that job pretty darn well.

Za (pronounced zee-aye) is not a brand I've been all that familiar with, until I was sent some of their eye shadow palettes to try (review here and here) and since then I've been very intrigued and keen to try some more products. Luckily I was sent two shades of their Brow Liners in Natural Grey and Natural Brown (as well as a couple of other products, with reviews coming soon). They come packaged very simply in a sealed plastic bag style, with emphasis on the liners themselves.

They come equipped with the brow colour at one end (without a lid, which I did find a little odd to begin with), that winds up and down and a spoolie at the other end. The added spoolie sold me pretty much right away; this is a crucial tool to brush through the brows before and after shaping and filling them in so they can look as natural as possible (but I don't mind a full on bold brow!) The brow liner itself is extremely hard, which is something you want with a brow pencil, other wise it will slip and slide and the colour pigment will be too severe. With these you can build up shape and colour to the desired look and they don't budge throughout the day. I use the shade Natural Brown, which I find to be a bit too warm toned for me, but with a bit of Natural Grey mixed in the colour seems to work well.

The Brow Liners retail for NZD $17 each, and they can be found at pharmacies around NZ and also online via. Makeup Direct. You can also find Za internationally (stockists here).
