Ok wow, I am seriously behind on my Empties post so it is time to get on top of it! This is a huge load of products that I finished from February to April and I thought I would lump them all together as there are a few double ups of my favourite products as you will see below!
HAIR
Toni&Guy Smooth Definition Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Hair*
I am pretty easy with what shampoo and conditioner I use, most things generally work for me as my hair isn't too damaged, it's very straight and easy to manage on the whole. This was a good duo though and I really trust the brand. It certainly made my hair feel soft and sleek.
Soap & Glory Scent-sational The Rushower Dry Shampoo
I have harked on about this heaps in my Empties, so no surprises that I have finished another can of it. It's my favourite dry shampoo and doesn't leave a white cast but soaks up the oil quickly and lasts throughout the day without making me look greasy!
Toni&Guy Heat Protection Mist*
Because I blow dry and style my hair on the daily I always make sure I use a heat protectant. I really like this one and the spray dispenser is one of my favourites rather than a standard pump. It works well and does the trick without leaving a residue in the hair or weighing it down.
SKIN
The Body Shop Seaweed Oil-Balancing Toner
This is a toner I always go back to as my skin likes it, it doesn't irritate or dry my skin out. It helps to keep my oily areas at bay but also works well for the areas that are a bit drier. I would recommend this one to anyone with combination/acne prone skin to give this a try.
Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water*
I was sent this a while back and have been using it sporadically over that time period. Wishtrend is a Korean skincare brand and this is a mild daily exfoliating toner which I would use every couple of days in the evening. Mandelic Acid is an AHA exfoliator that doesn't irritate the skin like some chemical exfoliators can and its aim is to help pigmentation and help with inflammatory acne. I would definitely use this again and recommend it to others even if you have dry skin.
The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi Protection Essence*
This is one of my summer staples, it is the most lightweight SPF moisturiser I have used which I prefer as I hate the feeling of heavy moisturiser under my makeup. It works so well and with an SPF 50+, I know it helping to protect from the harmful rays.
Trilogy Very Gentle Eye Cream*
I will always have a soft spot for Trilogy, I think on the whole they are a fantastic skincare brand. This eye cream was a dream to use, very hydrating but not too heavy and it is specifically designed for those with sensitive skin.
Raww Superfood Infused Beauty Smooth-Me Fine Line Serum*
Serums are so important in any skincare routine, they will help give you a boost in the areas you need them the most and I would encourage everyone to find one that works for them (or multiple!) Raww is an Australian based company that does cosmetics and skincare using organic and natural ingredients. The Fine Line Serum first off smelt so sweet and delicious and has ingredients such as coconut water, wildberry, goji berry, acai berry and Kakadu plum. The aim is to hydrate the skin and give a boost of Vitamin C and help with anti-aging. Each morning after using this my skin looked much healthier and smoother. It was a real pleasure to use.
MAKEUP
Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray
Ok, the makeup category is out of control, so I am going to quick fire these reviews as I have spoken about a lot of these before! I love this setting spray, definitely one of the best in the market for locking things in place all day long! I have the full sized now as I don't want to be without it.
Revolution Sport Fix Extra Hold Makeup Setting Spray*
As a cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay one, this works very well but is a little more drying on the skin. If you have very oily skin you might prefer this. The spray is a little bit more aggressive also.
Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation in 710 [x2]
I have spoken about this foundation multiple times, but I have been using it for AGES! It works really for me with medium coverage and lasts throughout the day without too much transfer or oiliness poking through.
Nude by Nature Loose Powder (Sample size)
I had this smaller sample size of this powder but it lasted ages for me! It is a nice loose powder, quite fine and sets foundation and concealer well. I am not sure I would buy it again as there are other loose powders that I prefer.
Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil in Brunette
You should all know by now that I love this pencil, I use it every day and haven't found anything that is closely comparable especially this price!
Revitalash Hi-Def Tinted Brow Gel*
I love a good tinted brow gel and this one from Revitalash was fantastic. It set the hairs well and the tint helped to provide colour in the brow and also add volume.
Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm*
These lip balms are a cult beauty classic and add a bit of tint in there and they have a winner. Generally, I don't fuss around with lipstick, so a tinted lip balm helps to give some colour but also ample hydration. I am currently using a different shade of this and really enjoying it.
Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Concealer
Much like the products above, this is one I can't see myself from stopping using anytime soon. It is the best for undereye concealing, it doesn't crease and the formula is light but still with a lot of coverage. It also blends out like a dream.
Kiehls Butterstick Lip Treatment*
I am definitely going through a tinted lip balm stage and I did like this one from Kiehl's but I would be more inclined to buy the Burt's Bees one as it is a fraction of the price.
YSL The Shock Mascara*
I feel like cheaper mascaras tend to always do a better job, but this one from YSL definitely impressed me and is one I would fork out the high price tag for! It had a brush very similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (they are owned by the same company so possibly took some inspiration from it!) The wand was great and create a lot of thickness and length.
L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara [x3] + Lash Paradise Waterproof*
While the YSL was a great mascara, the L'Oreal Lash Paradise has hands down been my most used, can't get enough of product. Clearly, I am a fan and I churn through these. I do find that they dry up quite quickly, hence why I have a new tube every month or so. This mascara does it all and gives serious volume and length. Personally, I like the original one best as the waterproof one was hard to remove (but that is definitely a plus if you want it to not budge!)
BODY + MISC.
Go-To Super Handy Hand Cream*
I love everything about this brand, the whole vibe is amazing and the products are incredible. It's also great that we can now get them at Mecca here in NZ. This hand cream was lovely to use, thick but not greasy and kept my hands soft and moisturised.
Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray*
I know it sounds crazy but I feel like, in Summer, everyone needs some boujee water in a can because this is so refreshing. Not only is it cooling, but the spring water they used has natural healing properties and helps with dryness and redness.
Daiso Puff Sponge Detergent
If you struggle to clean your makeup sponges, you need to find this bottle of $3 amazingness. It will get out all of the built-up foundation and cream products in just one squeeze, it is seriously magic. I don't think I could tell you how many of these I have been through!
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil*
This is a cupboard staple for me as it is great for treating a lot of skin issues, especially acne and also as a natural anti-bacterial product. This little bottle from The Body Shop lasted me for ages.
So as you can see I have been getting through a lot of different products and I think my next Empties post will be very similar in terms of the quantity but with some new products that I can't wait to share!
What has been a stand out product that you have finished recently?
*PR Samples/Gifted.
