I have loved the recent limited edition collections that Wet N Wild has bought out but I think the brand new Flights of Fancy range takes the top spot as one collection you definitely do not want to miss out on!
ColorIcon Baked Blush | NZD $12.99 each
First up we have to address the gorgeous packaging of these products. Because Wet N Wild is a US brand, the Flights of Fancy collection is limited edition for Summer which explains a lot of shades and the overall vibe. It is bright, beachy and perfectly suits the warmer months. The two Baked Blush shades are both stunning, Hummingbird Hype is a shimmering peachy coral, and Don't Flutter Yourself is a shimmering soft pink. These have great pigmentation and blend onto the skin well.
Proline Blush Brush | NZD $16.99
The Proline Brushes were recently launched earlier in the year and I absolutely love them. They're super soft, very high quality and work just as well as any higher end brush I've used. This limited edition purple features the same style bristles that are synthetic and so soft!
Photofocus Primer Water Spray | NZD $12.99
I love a good setting spray but I have not really tried many priming sprays. This one has a similar sort of vibe to the Smashbox Primer Water Spray (and the same name...) and it contains papaya extract, vitamin A and vitamin C to prep and refreshes the skin. The mist is really fine and it seems to work well under foundation.
PerfectPout Lip Scrub | NZD $8.99
In the US there are a couple other scents available in the Lip Scrub but NZ only got the watermelon one called Pecker Up. Lip scrubs aren't an essential product to have but they do make a difference especially if you have dry and flaky skin on your lips. This one has a very strong sweet watermelon scent which I love and very fine bits of sugar to do the exfoliating, as well as murumuru seed butter and tucuma seed butter which both aid in moisturising and nourishing the lips.
ColorIcon Lip Gloss | NZD $8.99 each
While I am more a matte lipstick sort of girl, I am slowing getting more into wearing glosses. Sometimes you just want a more juicy pout! These remind me a bit of the MAC Lip Glosses but with more of a lighter texture that isn't too sticky. I love the packaging on these with the geometric black and white and tropical florals over top, plus the colours are beautiful and well pigmented. I think Featherless (peachy nude) is one not to be missed.
ColorIcon Eyeshadow Quads | NZD $6.99 each
One thing Wet N Wild do amazingly well is their eyeshadows. They have recently repackaged all of their shadows and are phasing some of the others out (like my much beloved Comfort Zone Palette, see the post here but warning it is very old and the photos are terrible!) But never fear they have kept those iconic palettes and just given them a good old update. As part of the Flights of Fancy collection, there are three quads in various tones.
Stop Ruffling My Feathers
This is definitely my sort of palette with the perfect mix of complementary shades. The matte brown is perfect and the other shimmers are richly pigmented and blend out well. I love the bottom 'crease' shade which looks so nice all over the lids with the matte brown transition colour to help blend it out.
Flock Party
This is a bit more on the playful side and the raspberry pink paired with the bronze is beautiful for a sunset sort of vibe. Again the mix of shades in just a quad of four works great and a plus having the matte cream to help blend things together.
Hasta La Costa Baby
The final palette is a little bit more daring but that turquoise shade is so super stunning. The purple 'crease' shade in my palette was a little shattered and when I went to swatch it a whole lot of powder just came crumbling out unfortunately but it is still usable. The three palettes altogether each have shades that can be mixed and matches and I think it is perfect for the overall feel of the collection.
It is so awesome that now was can get Wet N Wild so easily as Farmers here in NZ. Before that, I was buying off eBay and Beauty Joint and when I went to the States a few years back I stocked up as I love some of the products. This full box of products like I was kindly sent can actually be purchased from Farmers online for only $79.99 which is a serious steal and saves you around $30 if you were to purchase things separately.
It is a beautiful collection with each product inside something I know I will be reaching for a lot. This is one you don't want to miss out on!
