There's not a lot of brands that release new products everywhere, worldwide. In NZ, we tend to get products at least 6 months behind the US and the UK and it's just something we all have gotten used to, but there is one brand that delivers new products to NZ exactly when launched in the US, and that brand is super affordable Wet N Wild. They launched into the market at the end of last year (if I remember correctly) and now we can get the full range of products, limited edition collections and all right here in Farmers NZ stores. They're latest limited edition collection is called Goth-O-Graphic* and it sums it up perfectly!
As has been with the other collections that have launched, these products are super fast moving and generally don't stay around in stores for long! This collection features holographic skulls all over the packaging and features a lot of shimmer, glitter and bold colours. As a full set, this 12 piece collection can be purchased for the very affordable price of $99.99 from Farmers.
HIGHLIGHTERS
Of course, it couldn't be a holographic styled collection without some highlighters thrown in there. These ones are all very wearable with one loose powder and two pressed.
Goth-O-Graphic Loose Highlighting Powder in Moon Tears | NZD $14.99
Out of all the products, this one is a must own, it is a seriously beautiful highlighter, that is very finely milled and creates an amazing glow. It has a very wearable golden, champagne sheen to it and the packaging is great too, with the skull motif as the holes to stiff the powder.
Goth-O-Graphic Highlighting Powder in White Raven + Purple Ashes | NZD $12.99 each
The two pressed highlighters have an amazing duochrome shift to them which just doesn't show up in photos. These are a bit more pigmented and more intense than the loose powder but still apply really nice to the skin. While the pink shade might not look too wearable, it actually works nicely as a blush topper to really illuminate the skin.
EYES
Goth-O-Graphic MegaLiner Metallic Liquid Eyeliner in Pink Coffin, Skull Prayer + Black Butterfly | NZD $12.99 each
I was really excited about these coloured liquid liners, but unfortunately, the formula isn't that great on them and they are really hard to work with. The brush tip doesn't work that well(the shade Pink Coffin had a damaged brush so the bristles were all splayed outwards) and seems to take away any product you've applied so you can't build it up. These are a miss for me, I wish they were more pigmented because the shades are really beautiful.
Goth-O-Graphic Liquid Catsuit Eyeshadow in Goth Tears, Nyctophilia + Pure Intension | NZD $12.99 each
I have used this formula before in some of their previous LE collections - it applies really wet at first but sets down completely on the lid and they don't smudge or budge. These shades are definitely a little more out there but work well as toppers over other shadows. These really pop with a black base underneath, or a darker shadow. They are super metallic with a nice duochrome effect to them.
LIPS
Goth-O-Graphic Megalast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Lipstick in Pastel Grunge, Death to Unicorns + Wicked Pink | NZD $12.99 each
A metallic lip isn't going to be for everyone and these shades don't lend themselves to being very wearable! I was slightly disappointed that these weren't more opaque on the lips and they seem to apply quite sheer, but you can build it up. Again like the liquid shadows, these work best with a colour underneath, and the shade Wicked Pink (bottom swatch) does look pretty over top of a nude to give more dimension to the shade. The blue shade (Pastel Grunge) doesn't work for me at all and makes me look like I have some disease, but I am sure someone could rock this!
Yet again, Wet N Wild delivers on another unique and fun collection. Although some of the shades are a bit out there and a couple of the products didn't wow me, the standouts are definitely the highlighters which shouldn't be missed. I would get in quick if you want this collection, and if you are from NZ check out your local Farmers in stores and online.
