CHI CHI | Iridescent Glow Highlighting Palette - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Coloured highlighters are certainly having a moment right now. The rainbow highlighters have come and gone, but brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills with their Glow Kits offering multi-coloured highlighters in pastel tones. Australian brand Chi Chi has jumped on the trend and bought out their own palette - the Iridescent Glow Highlighting Palette*.

This gorgeous highlighting palette has eight different shades inside all inspired by some of the most popular gemstones. As a palette, I think it's a good selection of shades, despite them having a hint of colour to them, they are wearable on the skin. The palette itself is sturdy and well made with a mirror inside.

In the pan the shades do look a bit out there, I mean is a pastel green highlight really going to work?! Surprisingly these are all weirdly very wearable and the colour through them creates an amazing duochrome sheen on the skin. The shades inside are from top to bottom: Amethyst (lilac), Rose Quartz (rosey champagne), Opal (pale orange), Topaz (yellow), Sapphire (blue with a purple reflex), Aquamarine (soft blue), Peridot (pastel green), and Diamond (silver).

The formula of these is really soft and buttery and you can blend them so well onto the skin. Diamond is a bit chunkier than the others, but not too much that makes it look weird on the skin. These are some of the more wearable coloured highlighters I have seen available and are just something a little different to elevate your look.

This palette is now available from Farmers here in NZ for $39.95, or in pharmacies and department stores in Australia.

What do you think of the coloured highlighters?
