COLOURPOP | Double Entendre Pressed Shadow Palette - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Carrying on my Colourpop Palette Post Extravaganza (it's not officially called that, but maybe it should be...), today's swatch and review post features the new addition to the range, the Double Entendre Palette. This one is for anyone who loves a neutral toned palette with lots of delicious warm tones.

You may mistake this one for the I Think I Love You Palette, and rightly so because for some reason Colourpop decided to put it in the exact same packaging, despite all the others having their own unique designs. I'm not sure why they did that, but I can understand it as a possible extension of the ITILY Palette or a sister palette. Really it is only an issue if you don't own both of them, but just something note. Packaging issues aside, the shades inside are a beautiful collection of warm brown and shimmers with a lot of staple matte shades.

The shades inside are all made for each other and it is such a cohesive palette, perfect for beginners, or makeup junkies. The shades break down as below:

Locked & Loaded | matte pale yellow
Uninhibited | metallic deep gold
Hot Bod | matte chocolate brown with gold flecks
Flasher | satin soft ivory
Nekkid | matte pastel orange
Extra Curricular | matte burnt orange
Hard | matte deep terracotta
Draft | metallic rich rose gold
Keep it PG | metallic champagne gold
Nip Slip | matte warm saddle brown
Send Noodles | matte soft tan
Teddy Bare | matte deep chocolate brown

The pigment across the board is on point with their other shadows, apart from the shade Hot Bod (third down), which was much drier than the others and didn't pack as much as I would have hoped. Of course, the metallics are amazing and most of the matte shades work like a dream. While the shades aren't anything unique, having them all in this handy palette is a total winner for me.

All of the Colourpop range is so affordable and these palettes are USD $16 each (approx. NZD $22) and you can get free shipping on your international order when it's over $50.

Stay tuned for the next palette post - by the end of it, I hope you will be able to pick a palette to suit you most!

What do you think of the shades in the Double Entendre Palette?
