Let me introduce you to the luxury skincare brand you've probably never heard of. Vestige Verdant Organic Skincare* is super popular in Europe and has been featured in big-name magazines such as Vogue, Gala and Cosmopolitan. As well as the editorial features, their Organic Mask (which I will talk more about below) has won a few awards and is one of their favoured products. So what does this luxury line of products from Estonia have to offer?
Vestige Verdant is a small line of three hero products - each one made from natural ingredients, free of chemicals with the mantra that beauty products should be health improving rather than a health risk. The overall branding is extremely luxurious, with the minimal and chic black and white boxes, and all black bottles and pots. The CEO behind the brand, Roone Roost wants this brand to be timeless with a focus on contributing to the world around us instead of stripping it away, and that is certainly something I think we can all get behind.
ORIGINAL PEAT MASK* | NZD $123 for 100ml
The Original Peat Mask is Vestige Verdant's best selling products and is the most sold face mask in Estonia. Now, I don't know too much about Estonia, but with a population of 1.3 million, that is pretty good going!
You might be wondering what is peat? Peat is a very rare and effective ingredient which is a produced by decaying vegetation/organic matter generally found in peatlands and bogs. This specific peat that is used in this mask is the Estonian balneological peat that is untouched for thousands of years. It is refined down to its molecular level and mixed with bioactive ingredients to create this highly unique face mask.
It aims to help cleanse the skin and rid it of harmful bacteria, help to tighten the skin decreasing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, boost the blood circulation, treat oil and acne and restore the natural pH levels in the skin. It is suitable for all skin types and can be used 3-4 times a week. I like to use this after cleansing the skin and use a paddle brush to apply an even and thick layer all over the face. It only needs 3 minutes or so to work effectively and it starts to dry down slightly but is easily removed with a damp flannel. The scent of this mask might not be for everyone as it smells quite earthy and natural, which should really be considered a plus that it's not packed with artificial scents!
The Peat Mask has been a welcomed addition to my skincare routine and I love how quick it is to use. I always find after using it my skin feels much softer, it looks a little brighter and it certainly helps with the excess oil production, especially around my nose and cheeks.
INFINITY EYE SERUM* | NZD $115 FOR 15ML
The first thing that struck me when I opened up this product was the packaging. The black glass bottle feels weighty and expensive, with the roller ball applicator making it so quick and easy to get this serum onto the eye area. The eye area is so sensitive, so you do have to be wary of the type of products you use and also how you apply them. I always love how refreshing and cooling a roller ball feels, but from a practical standpoint it also means you can really get it into those slightly tricky areas like directly underneath the eyes and around the bridge of the nose with ease.
The Eye Serum is designed to moisturise, depuff and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles. Although I haven't been using it long enough to see the effect it has on my fine lines, I like the way it certainly helps to depuff, especially in the morning, and overall, my undereye area does look much more moisturised. I was getting all of those small little bumps under my eyes but now they are greatly diminished. Like the Peat Mask, the Eye Serum uses all organic but powerful ingredients. The formula is very lightweight and works well day and night.
RARE BLEND OIL* | NZD $111 for 30ml
I am all for facial oils; the myth that you shouldn't use oil if you have oily skin is a total dud and everyone should have a good oil in their skincare routine. Like the Infinity Eye Serum, the Rare Blend Oil is housed in a black glass bottle (slightly larger than the Eye Serum), with the roller ball. At first, I didn't know how I would like the roller ball to apply oil all over the face, but now I really enjoy using it and it means you aren't overdoing it. It also helps to give the face a slight massage at the same time, promoting blood circulation through the face.
It contains five rare oils; Neroli Oil from Italy (rejuvenating, regenerating, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory), Patchouli Oil from Indonesia (great for dry skin, eczema, as well as helping to heal the skin), Carrot Seed Oil from Nepal (high in antioxidants, with anti-aging properties with high levels of Vitamin C and E), Sea-Buckthorn Oil from Germany (healing and rejuvenating, also a natural cleanser and exfoliant), and Argan Oil from Morocco (high in vitamin E and fatty acids, helps to hydrate and soften the skin). They are all organically sourced from certified fair trade farmers in each of their respective countries. The oil smells lovely and feels very lightweight on the skin so it could definitely be worn underneath makeup, even if you do have more of a combination/oily skin type. Those with dry skin will really enjoy this too.
So where can one find Vestige Verdant products? Well, they are present in all major department stores in Estonia, are expanding out in Europe and is widely available in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, as well as now branching into the UK, France, Asia and the Middle East. Australia and New Zealand are the latest countries to have access to this brand, which you can buy online here, with shipping worldwide. They also have an exclusive offer on at the moment for 25% off until 7th January 2018 with complimentary free worldwide shipping. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
I always love discovering new skincare brands and was left very impressed by the care that is put into each of these products, especially in their ingredients.
