ESSENCE COSMETICS | New Launches - My Must Have Shadows, Concealer Palette + More - CassandraMyee

By now I think you will be aware that I love a lot of products from Essence Cosmetics. They are one of the most affordable brands you can get (in NZ at least) and is now readily available at many Farmers across the country. They always come out with super fun 'trend' collections each season, and these products I'll be talking about today are some new additions to their range.

Although the range is aimed at a younger market, there are products here that are just so good you shouldn't let the marketing fool or deter you. As you may know from previous Most Loved and Empties, some of my favourite Essence products include the All About Matt Fixing Powder, False Lashes Mascara, the Matt Touch Blushes and the Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder, all of which are well under $10 each!

I Love Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base*
If you need an eyeshadow primer but don't want to fork out a load of money, I would seriously check this one out. It has a light pink tint to it so it helps to counteract any darkness or veins on the lids and creates a good base for shadows. It helps to make them look truer to colour as well as keeping them locked in place throughout the day. A good one for oily eyelids.

Camouflage Full Coverage Concealer*
I have talked about this before in a Most Loved but it is a great concealer. It has great coverage and blends well. It works well on blemishes, or under the eyes. The only downside is there are only two shades available 05 Light, and 10 Nude.

... All I Need Concealer Palette*
Colour correcting products and concealer palettes are having a moment right now, and Essence has jumped in with this small, compact offering with five shades inside. There is three colour correcting shades, Green (for neutralising redness), Pink and Yellow (for brightening), and two traditional concealer shades. The texture on these isn't as creamy as others I have used but it does work well and the colours have a good pigment to them so they actually work to cover and conceal.

Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder for Lighter Skin*
Their Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder, as mentioned earlier, is one of my favourites at the moment, and for when I want a little bit more glow I reach for this one. Some bronzers can be very shimmery or have chunky bits of glitter in it which I am not a fan of, but this one is more illuminating than blatant glitter so it looks a lot more natural on the skin. The outer shade is a traditional bronzing colour, while the inner is a bit pinky, which gives the luminosity.

Shine Shine Shine Wet Look Glosses*
I am definitely more of a matte lip sort of person but I can appreciate an awesome lip gloss when I see it. These are super high shine and come in about 12 shades, some having the 'prisma glow' finish which is quite shimmery and glittery like 03 Friends of Glamour, while others are a cream finish with no shimmer, such as 12 Runway, Your Way; an amazing purple. While these shades aren't for me, the formula is nice and not sticky or gloopy, and the creamy finish ones have such a good colour pay off considering they are a gloss.

Volume Stylist Lash Extension Mascara with Lengthening Fibres*
The Essence Mascaras are honestly some of the best I have ever used, from so many different brands! There is a lot of the range I like, but this Volume Stylist one is definitely up there and it blew me away. The brush is quite slim, but something about it grabs each lash from the root and it creates amazing length as well as volume. I honestly think there is no need to buy high-end mascaras when these ones for about NZD $6 are so damn good. Go try it ASAP!

My Must Haves Single Eyeshadows*
I love a good customisable palette, and now Essence has brought out their own with 20 shades to chose from. There are two refillable palettes that hold either 4 or 8 shades, and the shades simply click into the palettes. I have three shades here, and all of them have great pigmentation - I especially love 18 Black As A Berry.  They're easy to work with and the fact you can add all the shades you love is a major plus. By the looks of it in Europe you could also buy highlighters, blushes and lipstick pans to fit these palettes so hopefully, we will have these options available in NZ soon.

Essence can be found worldwide, but in NZ it's available from selected Farmers, and can also be found at Price Wise (online and in stores). If you want to get some great makeup that is going to be budget friendly, I seriously suggest checking out Essence. If you wanna know more about some of their products, just search Essence in the search bar and a bunch of other posts will be there for your reading and viewing pleasure.
