Can you believe that we are already into the month of March? It's now a month until my birthday which seems a little crazy to me! Although February was a shorter month, it was a big one for new beauty launches and I have been trying lots of different products. Here are my Most Loved and the standouts; some new and a couple older products too.
I didn't realise it but there is a bit of a colour theme going on here, a bit of peach and some beige and gold!
Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Collection | NZD $78.00
You are probably so sick of seeing this palette, but I am not sick of using it at all, in fact, I have been using it so much the past month. The packaging is adorable, like the entire Too Faced range, it smells delicious and the shades... oh, the shades are amazing. They have great pigmentation, a bit of fall out, but I just love how they blend and stay put on the lid. I have lots of favourite shades and enjoying experimenting a bit more with the other colours in the palette.
Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel* | USD $18.00
I have had this in my stash for a while from a previous Lust Have It Beauty Box I think, but only started reaching for it last month as I had a bit of a makeup clear out. It's a really great eyebrow gel, it's clear, but doesn't look overly shiny, nor is it really thick and crispy in the brows. It keeps them groomed and in place and the small wand makes it easy to control. It's a nice feeling 'shopping my stash', and rediscovering other products.
Maybelline Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation On-The-Go SPF 20 in Ivory* | NZD $29.99
Long name aside, as cushion foundations go (a Korean beauty trend that has recently come into the Western beauty world), this one is really great. Most cushion foundations I have used leave me quite dewy (not a bad thing if you have dry to normal skin), but as I get oily throughout the day this one actually stays in place a lot longer than other. The coverage is surprisingly very good, it's light to medium but buildable and gives a hint of dewiness. I like to apply it with a damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, but it applies well with a brush too. To see my thoughts on the other new Maybelline release, read the post here.
Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in Role Play* | USD $28.00 (sold out on StrawberryNet, but available in a mini set from Sephora NZ for NZD $42.00)
This was my first ever Marc Jacobs lipstick, or makeup item for that matter, and it blew me away as soon as I used it! I got this on Strawberry Net as I recently did some Instagram work for them. The packaging is so luxe, it feels weighty and the lid magnetises to close so it's always on the right way. The lipstick itself, although described as 'sheer' is definitely not as sheer as I thought and has such a creamy texture that lasts on the lips. It's a beautiful dusty rose shade which I love and is no fuss and easy to apply to touch up.
Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Peach-Infused Blush | NZD $47.00
Naturally, when I ordered the palette I had to get the blush as well. This sort of peachy shade is what I love using and I've pretty much had this on my cheeks every day since I got it. It's got a little bit of a golden sheen to it, but it gives you more of a healthy glow and flush rather than being glittery. It smells delicious like the palette and just blends so nicely into the skin. I am now eyeing up the Sweet Peach Glow Palette...
Lulu & Lipstick Eyelash Curler* | AUD $29.95
It's not until you get a new eyelash curler that you realise just how defective your old one was! My last one I had been using for ages and the pad had worn down so much I don't think it was doing anything to my lashes. This one is really nice to use and has a good curve to it so that it sits nicely into the lash line. Plus I love the gold and diamantes on it!
