M.A.C | Good Luck Trolls Collection - Review + Swatches

M.A.C | Good Luck Trolls Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

I've gotta apologise as I should have got this post up sooner, but sometimes life just gets in the way, ya know? Anyway, I thought it was better late than never because this limited edition M.A.C Good Luck Trolls Collection* is just too cute to not share. I have a feeling it's not in stores anymore (I could be wrong though) but if you can track it down (might be a case of ordering from the USA), you definitely should! Despite that, I'll still give you a rundown of the products and what I think of them.

M.A.C | Good Luck Trolls Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

The packaging, I think, is just amazing. It was a polarising one as people thought it looked cheap compared to other collections from M.A.C but personally, I think it suits the Trolls theme perfectly and the products inside are still up to that high quality.

Glitter Pigment in Fuchsia* | NZD $52.00
It wouldn't be Trolls without some glitter, right? Well, this is a tub of pure glitter, and I actually already have a mini size of this from a previous Christmas collection. Fuchsia is part of the permanent range, so you can buy it at any time. The glitters from M.A.C aren't eye safe but can be applied to other parts of the face and body. It might be one to crack out for dress up or a music festival!

Beauty Powder in Glow Rida* | NZD $55.00
Glow Rida is a beautiful soft highlighting powder, which can be lightly dusted over the skin for an intense glow, or used along the cheekbones etc as a traditional highlight. This shade is described as a soft beige sheen with extra fine gold reflects. I absolutely love this product from the collection and if you buy one thing, I would definitely say this!

Single Eyeshadow in Suns Out, Buns Out | NZD $42.00 each
My collection of single shadows from M.A.C are rapidly growing, although I have most of them depotted, I think having the odd one in a pot, especially if it is limited edition like this one. Suns Out, Buns Out is a mustard yellow with pearl and is on the sheer side. I'm not sure if it is intentionally sheer, but as you can see in the swatch below it leaves you with more glitter than it does pure colour. I still like it through and think as a quick sweep of glitter over the lids over other shadows looks really pretty.

Lipglass in Twerkquoise* | NZD $42.00
Props to M.A.C for the names of some of these products, I mean one of them is called Bubble Butt - love it! The glosses are so well packaged with the Trolls logo on front and the most amazing glitter cap. This shade is a transparent sky blue with fine pink reflect (swatches below), which is not the most wearable or everyday shade but I think over other lipsticks it will transform them. Imagine it over a pink shade! The lipglasses are a little tacky

Lipstick in Sushi Kiss* | NZD $44.00
Some of the lipstick shades in this range are so out there, but also so amazing. I was sent Sushi Kiss which is actually a repromoted shade and one I was already quite familiar with. Sushi Kiss is a midtone coral cream with a satin finish and is a pretty amazing colour with great pigmentation.

Chromacraze in Good Luck Locks | NZD $58.00
I didn't know that this was a thing M.A.C did, but this last product I received is a coloured hairspray in an amazing bubblegum pink shade. Because my hair is quite dark it doesn't show up as well, but if you were a blonde this would look really cool. It reminds me of being back in the 90s with glitter hairspray which I used to dose myself in for school discos, and coloured hair mascara! A fun throwback product, although not sure it's worth the $58!
