I know I posted a haul on Monday, but I've been playing catch up and of course, in this time, I have spent a few dollars on some new nail polishes. I have some from my fave brand, essie, as well as some of the Sinful Colors x Kylie Jenner collab, and a couple others thrown in the mix too.
CND Creative Play Nail Lacquer in Berried Secrets*
CND is a brand that I have never used for nail polish but was lucky enough to be sent a shade to try out. They are a salon brand, meaning you can't buy them at Farmers etc, but there are a number of stockists in NZ (see here). This applied easily in one coat with great colour pay off on the nails - I do two coats just to be safe, however, I didn't find this lasted as long as I thought on my nails. I think it would work a lot better with the CND base and top coats as more of a total system. Apart from that, I really love this shade.
OPI x Hello Kitty in Look At My Bow!
I bought this at one of those makeup clearance places in the mall and I think it was under $10 (it was a little while ago, so I can't remember exactly). Beside essie, OPI takes up a lot of my collection and I used to be an avid collector of their range but haven't really been taken by many of the new ones. This shade though completely sold me; a creamy, girly pink that is Hello Kitty to a tee and looks so nice on the nails.
essie Nail Polishes in Mod Square, Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low + Sew Psyched
Wouldn't be a nail polish haul without essie right? I snagged these for $8 each at Postie, which I definitely advise you check out as they have a good range of shades that are generally from past limited edition collections, and you can also get the odd OPI polish from there too. Mod Square is an electric pink, Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low is a molten gold and Sew Psyched is a cashmere soft sage pewter (don't you just love their shade descriptions?!) All of them have a great formula, with two coats needed for full opacity.
Sinful Colors Kylie Signature Collection in Kreme de la Kreme + Kylie Trend-Matters Satin Matte in Kitty Pink
Whilst on a lunch break I found myself buying eye drops from the pharmacy (ya know, as you do) and saw the Sinful Colors stand and couldn't resist a shade or two from the Kylie Jenner range. I am a bit Kylie fan and definitely not afraid to admit it and I love the shade range of her collection. They only cost about $8 and these two shades were stand-outs for me. I haven't worn them on the nails yet but I imagine they will look so nice together, plus the matte finish always looks so chic.
Here are all the swatches of each shade I have bought or received over the past few months - quite a nice line up I think! I need to start doing more NOTD's sharing what I've been wearing on my nails and how I found them - perhaps a round up at the end of each month..? I'll think about.
Have you got any new polishes lately?
