BURT'S BEES | Introducing The New Lipstick Range - Review + Swatches

BURT'S BEES | Introducing The New Lipstick Range - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

The brand that started out making lip balm have certainly grown over the years and have added a new range of lipsticks to their now extensive product range. Burt's Bees is a classic brand, you'd definitely call it a household name. I'm not sure whether many of you know but they now offer a whole skincare line up, as well as baby and body products. It was only a matter of time before they got into more natural makeup products.

The 100% natural lipsticks are packed with moisturising ingredients such as Beeswax, Moringa Oil, Raspberry Seed Oil and Vitamin E to deliver colour as well as treating and hydrating the lips. The lipsticks join an already extensive range of lip care products, including the famous lip balms, tinted lip balms, lip shine, lip shimmer and lip crayons.

There are 14 shades in total ranging from natural nudes to darker plum and berry tones. The shade range is really beautiful and the two colours I have here Tulip Tide* (a natural pink) and Juniper Water* (darker berry pink) are both stunning shades and very wearable. The formula is creamy and smooth with a slight satin/gloss finish to them, but they aren't the most pigmented, however the moisturising properties and comfort of wear makes up for that. If you suffer from dry lips, I feel like this range would be perfect for you!

The packaging is also totally unique and I love the honeycomb design that holds the same colour as the lipstick inside, making it easy to identify the right shade. The plastic that the tubes are made of are also completely recyclable.

At $19.95 each, these are handbag friendly lipsticks that are easy to pop on, will keep your lips feeling moisturised for a number of hours and they offer an extensive range of shades to suit. You can find them at Burt's Bees stockists, such as Farmers, pharmacies and health food stores in NZ.
